packfanlv Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Hello Everyone, After being home for a while I am looking at getting back to my travel writing and thought that a website redesign was in order. Since I am not my best judge, I wanted to know if anyone wanted to look at the site to provide me feedback with what they think both feature wise and aesthetically. (All of the old content from my trip is there, but I haven't updated the actual site content wise in a while.) So far people have said that the blue is too dark and I tend to agree, but haven't come up with a good color replacement yet. Any and all suggestions and constructive criticism will be appreciated. Thanks. The site is www.familyrtw.com BTW it is a pain in the but to remove the ads, but please don't click on them. This is not a ploy to get traffic or anything like that. I just thought since I respect what some of the members of TPR think, that I could get some great feedback from this. Thanks.
Eric_Smith Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 It looked to me that some of the blogging and stuff like that was a bit dated, but I liked the overall design of the site. It just had the feel of, a get-up-and-go website if you know what I mean. The tabs were very easy to navigate, and the photos were great too.
gerd.muller Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Hey, I really enjoyed your website. The lay out is very clear and the dark blue calms and doesn´t distract from the real content like bright colors would do, so, in my opinion, don´t change that colour. About the itinary:It´s easy to navigate (with the month-by-month tabs on the right side.) and the pictures are really great, they make your stories come out much more visually. So all in all, a really great job. Gerd
