cfc Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 My buddy Dave and I have exchanged the following series of e-mails: Will Ricardo Montalban’s coffin be lined in rich Corinthian leather? Will he be interred in the Roarke family tomb next to Tattoo? Will Patrick McGoohan wake up in the Village? Will the Village turn out to be Fantasy Island? This could go on all day.
grinch1313 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I was very sad to find out the other night that Patrick McGoohan died. I absolutely loved The Prisoner. And I'm in the middle of watching Dr. Syn: Alias the Scarecrow, which is pretty amazing so far. And Chuck, He just might wake up in The Village.
Meteornotes Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 For Prisoner fans, be aware that A&E is doing a six hour Prisoner mini-series this spring. I have no idea if it's going to be good or not, but I'll certainly watch it, since The Prisoner is one of my all time favorite TV shows... dt
cfc Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 ^^I remember when Disney ran the Dr. Syn episodes on the Wonderful World of Color when I was about six--the Scarecrow scared the crap out of me. I'm getting together with a buddy this weekend to pay tribute to both Montalban and McGoohan this weekend--he's got quite a good collection of DVDs featuring both actors.

It's definitely one of my all time favorite shows also. And if it's not good, I'll just watch the McGoohan series again. I'll have to finish Dr. Syn this weekend in tribute. Chuck, I can definitely see how the Scarecrow would be terrifying. I love the Disney Treasures line for putting these out. It's on the DVD exactly as it was broadcast with Walt's intros and everything just like on the Disney's World of Color.
