bobafett Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 On Saturday January 31,2009, the Morey's organization will hold a public farewell to the Golden Nugget on the old Hunt's pier in WildWood,NJ. Citing safety issues and costs, the organization said that there is no way that they can rebuild it or move it to another pier. It will be torn down to make way for a new project worthy of the Golden Nugget's legacy. Another great coaster is going to disappear forever. If you live in the tri-state area and have ever ridden this one of a kind coaster, please come out and pay your respects to this coaster before they tear it down. I will be there. Hunt's pier was a great pier with one of kind attractions. I used to love this ride as a child and now I will only have my memories of this great ride. So please come out and say good-bye to the Golden Nugget. Thank You.
