handy-andy Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Hey, I have a few questions about a trip to florida. The trip would be part of a USA trip in summer 2009. 1. First which do you think would be best, 3nights in the Royal Pacific hotel at Universal or 4nights off site on i-drive? 2. How should I spend my time in the area? A bit of info to help with the answer, I only really want to be visiting parks in the i-drive area, I prefer big rides and also like water parks but not too much. I dont want to spend too much time travelling around either. Thanks for the help!
DaveH80 Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Assuming you're not interested in Disney, staying at Universal would be a good choice for you. Besides Universal Studios & IOA, Seaworld is your only other park w/ big rides in the International Drive area. I would highly recommend a trip to Seaworld especially since they'll be debuting "Manta" next year & already have a good B&M floorless "Kraken". You may want to consider a drive to Busch Gardens in Tampa as they have a great selection of coasters. You could easily do both Universal parks in one day if you get their version of the flashpass (can't remember the name), which allows you 1 ride on each major attraction & you can get one covering both parks. Then you can get a 2-day Seaworld/Busch Gardens pass as Busch owns Seaworld and save some $$. Hope you have a great trip!
larrygator Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Busch Gardens Shuttle Bus If you are not renting a car there is a shuttle bus from Orlando to Busch Gardens. Info is in the link.
cfc Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 ^^The Busch "fast pass" is called "Quick Queue."
