Possibly a new forum Category?

Hello R&E&K!

 

Just wondering if you guys have thought of adding a photography/videography category to the forums. Being it's such a huge part of this online community with trip reports, I think it would be a great addition, and would probably alleviate a lot of questions you guys get here.

I think the point of this forum is so that those questions can be answered. If you're suggesting a seperate forum just for questions about photography and videography then that just seems a little pointless.

 

I might be getting the wrong end of the stick though, i'll let one of them chime in...

Last time I checked we have the "The Professional Amateur Videographer Forum!"

 

Wouldn't that work for videos?

I think he means more like "questions about videography". Correct me if i'm wrong though.

The video forum is already there for posting your videos.

 

And there's a photo TR archive where all the best TRs get moved.

 

So that really probably covers both of them. Unless I'm missing something here?

A forum to discuss tips, tricks, techniques, software, hardware, EFX, etc. I'm sure there's a lot of TPR members that have a lot to give on the topic, and a lot of people who would like to learn.

I'm sure just an official photography topic in the Random section would suffice. Doesn't seem worth it to have just a photography section...I'm sure Robb and Elissa want the site simple and less cluttered. Adding this section seems to be a step in the wrong direction.
