Myself Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I'm trying to create a new scenario and the scrollbar on the small scenery selector has randomly stopped working. It will not move no matter what I do. Please help me!
GriffyTiffy Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 It's been doing that to me for months now. I'm concerned that the amount of objects is messing it up.
vedved82491 Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Saem thing happened to me a few months ago. My only solution was deleting RCT2 and then reinstalling it. I do believe it's the huge amount of the "small" objects that fill up quickly, hence the reason you see some people attempting to place the "small" scenery items in the "larger" category, if that makes sense. Your best bet is deleting the game, and reinstalling it. But choose wisely when downloading other's parks. Just because it looks nice doesn't mean we have to DL every nice looking park. You learn that the hard way and then have to lose a LOT of scenery. If you already have saved parks that you like and would like to have again once you delete the game, upload your park online and downoad it later. Remember to check the "export plugin objects" button in the options. This will export your custom scenery along with your park.
timetrial3141592 Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Remove some of the "small" scenery objects.
vedved82491 Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 ^It's very complicated removing just any small items. You're at risk of corrupting one of your parks. If you delete an item you're using in one of your current parks, it wont be able to open. Be sure you know what you're deleting though.
BRTeller Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 You can not go over 2000 small objects. This goes for other things, but the values are different. If you put to much in, the game will freeze completely. I always keep several copies of my objdata folder if I download a park. I only keep what I need, not pointless objects. Hope this answers your question. Just make a separate folder with the original objdata, thats the best solution.
