WillMontu Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 So this thread isn't quite dead yet. I can fix that: Is that the "stand-up" version of Good Tower? I may post a few shots from MK too, including some hot Monorail action. As well as experience a boiler room that looks like, well, a boiler room. We then take a few rides on RnRC, Sad and Pathetic style Many of us will be seeing this castle in a few weeks A poster showing the Mark IV monorail and the WEDway PeopleMover The history exhibit next to TSM has models and a film about Walt Disney. Insert tiny castle joke here I guess they end up at Cafe Risque (which by the way, I have never been to) Another look at the ride vehicle The loading station Of the Dueling Johnsons, who scored higher? One of the mini-games. This is just decoration. It's not in 3D or anything like that either As said several times, it's similar to Pirates at DQ Ready to ride The "Home Edition". All you need is an office chair and a Wii The ride vehicles are a little bit like the vehicles on the Intamin Half-pipe rides This is where the queue joins the single rider line I'm curious to how this works, as there some interactivity, but also some pre-recorded phrases. Is there a CM sitting at a control panel somewhere, or does it use voice recognition? The Mr. Potato Head animatronic This reel shows some attractions that are long gone, such as the PeopleMover The first portion of the queue We went over to DHS/MGM to check out Toy Story Mania's preview. There are still construction walls up around the area
BeatleBen Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 That video made my day. You're awesome Erik. BTW, great photos Will.
WillMontu Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 I did have a few more pictures from this trip, but I guess it's better late than never. We finished the day at the Magic Kingdom to ride a few rides And here is Monorail Orange...through Monorail Blue! But being Florida Gators, there's something about Orange and Blue I would have thought that they would change the MGM Studios icon to that obnoxious hat when they renamed the park. Looks like they didn't Monorail Black is Erik's favorite Time for more Monorail action! This scene may change within a year or two when SM goes down for a major rehab It's just like Top Thrill Dragster I had Erik on my tail the whole time I had never done the Indy Speedway, but having ridden Autopia at Disneyland, it doesn't do as much As for train rides... This one even more so I took this shot from a moving train, hence the nice motion blur effect There's some hot coupler action on the WDW train ride A construction fence in Mickey's Toontown. What could it be? I think it's actually just a rehab of an attraction that's already there The first ride on visiting the Magic Kingdom was, of course, the PeopleMover [insert castle joke here] The new Contemporary wing is going up fast Did anyone notice that they removed those "islands" from the middle of each compartment? I think they used to have fold-out seats, but they also served as something to lean on There appears to be something wrong here I will probably bring this very pack of Tums to Europe this year and take pictures of it in various locations This update is going to contain a lot of hot Monorail on Monorail action
Erik Johnson Posted May 25, 2008 Author Posted May 25, 2008 Thanks for posting these Will. I forgot about the black monorail photo.
