Edward Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Hi! I've been to Liseberg and the "mandetory" thing to do who will go there at least 3-4 times is to get one of these entry cards either Lisebergs Årskort (free entry for the Summer and Christmas season of the year you bout it) or Guldpasset (free entry and riding for the Summer and Christmas season). These cards also come with some bonuses, like rebates to some travel agencies and restraunts and such in (or near) Gothenburg, and also free Entry and Riding to 4 other parks in Europe! Last year I got this Årskort for free entry to Liseberg (bought tickets seperately) and it said that with this card I could get free entry and riding in 4 of Europe's best Theme Parks. Can't remember which ones they were, but it was one in Germany (Holiday I think) and Spain (maybe Madrid). Can't remember the rest. This year I got a Goldpass (because I calculated what I did last year and what I would probably do this year and it looked like it was worth the money), and the bonuses are that I get Free Entry And Riding in the following parks: Isla Mágica (Isla de la Cartuja, Sevilla, Spain), Europa-Park (Rust / Baden, Germany), Efteling (Kaatsheuvel, Holland), PortAventura (Vila-seca, Tarragona, Spain). Now, the point/question I'm getting to (and only today I think of it) is that would I get a rebate on a TPR trip if I had one of these cards? If I understand correctly, the $2000+ goes to a number of things including the Entrance fee and Riding tickets/passes. If some people could get in for free because they got hold of specials, would that mean the price could be reduced (for that single person or in general)? I know the Europe trip is now closed, but I thought I'd ask. Might take advantage of that for next year or something silly like that. Also, it seems like the list of free parks for these cards change some each year so it might be hard to plan some of it. Maybe if it is possible to predict which parks will be available for these cards, you could plan the Europe trip to include these 4 so that people (like myself) can go on a nice rebate. /Edward
SharkTums Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 No, we do not offer a discount if someone has a pass to one or more parks. We buy package deals from the parks and give them incentive to give us stuff. We purchase admissions and meals, then they give us deals on ERT and more. If everyone had passes and they were making no money on our group why would they want to give us something? Thanks for understanding!
