Bolliger&Mabillard
Question 1: I read how you make the sacrifices to go on trips. One thing you metioned is that you don't go to movies, so my first question is, "Would you spend money to see a movie ABOUT roller coasters?" Question 2: (More theme park related) Why is it that Sea World San Diego is the only Anheiser-Busch park without at least one B&M attraction? Does it have to do with zoning or something? or is it just that the park itself just hasn't invested in one?
DeliriumTrigger
To answer the second...it's due to a height limit and people like Donna Frye.
ebl
I thought Journey to Atlantis was a B&M...no, wait---it's just "BM." Eric
Bolliger&Mabillard
What is the height limit? Alton Towers has some pretty strict height guidelines to follw and they have 3 B&M's.
coolhandluke
^^^While that was an interesting story told on Wikipedia, I couldn't find any reference to Sea World or a height limit of any kind for any business. A little extra info on how "people like Donna Frye" hinder Sea World's bid for a B&M (or any coaster besides JTA) would be appreciated for those citizens outside of California. DeliriumTrigger
^^Height limits are a bit harder to get around with B&M when they're stuck inside 30 feet, I would think. ^Ah, sorry. She fought the development of JTA tooth-and-nail, thought it would be too noisy/too ugly for people in her district across the bay. While I can't find any good articles off-hand about her involvement, I did find one that mentions the height limit.
