Computer tech help needed

All of a sudden today the buttons for close(the red x), minimize, and maximize in the upper right corner of my screen are smaller than they used to be. This is the case no matter what screen I open whether it's Internet Explorer, Excel, Word, etc. Can anyone help me out with how I can make those buttons appear bigger on my screen?

Try this ...

 

Right click on the desktop, select properties. Select the Appearance tab.

 

Under Font size select large or extra large. This will make the buttons larger, although the text as well.

 

Not sure if that's the setting you had changed or not though.

 

Edit: From the Appearance tab you can also click advanced, then select "Caption Buttons", increase the size as needed. That should let you make the buttons larger without making the text larger as well.
