I know this happened about a million years ago, but the exclusive deal with the NFL that EA struck really really sucks, and now that Madden 06 is starting to be promoted, it really puts me in a bad mood

I feel bad for buying MVP baseball, and giving those jerks some of my money

I really liked the ESPN NFL 2Kseries, but after they sold about 2.5 million copies of ESPN NFL 2K5, EA got scared, overpaid for the NFL license, stole the ESPN license, and gobbled up NCAA, and arena football, so there would be no other football game of any kind available

oh well, feels good to rant a bit

well that sucks. do you think any other company besides EA could make a college sports game as good?

I forgot what game I played, I know it wasn't by EA, but I played a college football game once and went all the way to #1 with Stanford. (and Hawaii a little later) I like playing as the underdogs.

Nebraska, FSU, USC, UF, Penn (all really good at the time)..they didn't stand a chance agianst my awesome Stanford defense. heh heh.

If it was for the current systems it could have been Sega's \ncaa \footbal 2k3, no longer being made

I dunno. I rocked it tho.

it's kind of similar to how activision and neversoft kinda took hold of many different x-games and turned them into video games.
