larrygator Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I'll be more interested in seeing the numbers 12 months from now. I think CF is now using the proper season pass pricing strategy. You want to go just to your home park - lower season pass price versus last year. You want your pass to work at multiple parks - you pay a higher price versus last year. Incent people to visit other parks in the chain by including parking in the price of the Platinum pass. To me this just makes logical sense, but who knows, it could be a disaster.
ginzo Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 ^I wonder if they even sell that many Platinum Passes outside of Ohio. Kings Island is selling theirs for $150, which is a lot more than they were last season. I suppose the parking balances that out a bit, but I didn't renew my pass. KI is too craptacular. I'll probably get one if they install the rumored B&M hyper though.
larrygator Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 ^I think all CF parks are selling the platinum for $150 for consistency. Now if the parks are still being held to their own P&Ls and a CF Platinum Pass is used at another park I wonder if that second park will be compensated in some manner monetarily by the park that sold the Platinum Pass. I also think the majority of the Platinum Passes will go to people within 150 miles of Ohio.
