timetrial3141592 Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 We all love high-capacity coasters, right? Now, the highest-capacity coasters are at German fairs. Euro Star, Olympia Looping, Alpina Bahn... Well, here's a challenge. In a workbench provided, you may create up to four (4) traveling-style high-capacity roller coasters. The styles allowed are as follows: Looping (Schwarzkopf looper/nonlooper) Spiral (Schwarzkopf speedracer) Inverted (B+M inverted) Compact Inverted (Vekoma SLC) Floorless (B+M floorless) Corkscrew (Arrow/Vekoma looper) Each coaster must use blocking sections and run at least three trains. You are allowed to do the "top-of-lift" fake blocking section (cresting a hill, add a chain-lift) as many times as you like; I do that to run 7-train rides, so you should be able to. The rides will be judged based on THC, looks, and pacing. The contest ends March 14. Idylwild Beach.zip Here's the workbench. Custom supports are included, but they do not have to be used.
the ghost Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Im in, just 3 questions. #1. Is theming involved in the competition and question 2 do you need to use the workbench or will we get points off for not using it. #3 do you want thisd to be in any specific kind of park as too theme or size or do I just build the rides everywhere.
timetrial3141592 Posted February 4, 2008 Author Posted February 4, 2008 Answers: 1) Theming can be done for extra credit. 2) The workbench comes with custom steel and wooden supports, as well as a perfect tile roof set. You may use your own scenario if you wish. 3) They can be anywhere you want to put them. By the way, trainers are allowed.
