Angry_Gumball Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I decided that today deserves it's own topic as it was the last day for my home park to operate this season. (Boo!) So now, the off season will be settling in and I'll be doing makeshift coaster thrills until March of '08. Anyway, my bro, neighbor down the street, Max (from here) and I took a trip to a quite busy day at GA. I expected it to be a bit more crowded as it was the last day, yet I was spoiled by our other previous 5 visits as everything was walk-on all day. The shortest wait was for Endeavor/Revolution for obvious reasons...The day started off with the line ride of Vortex. Seeing that it's in 1-train mode (Is the other in rehab or something? It hasn't been on the transfer track for quite some time.) We said screw it and headed to Demon. This is when insanity began when Max whipped out his prized Kennywood "Penguino" animal. Again, lines. Screw it (again...) Finally, we found something with a decent wait: Drop Zone. Took 2 cycles before we got on, so can't complain there. After DZ, my bro wanted to win an "Emo" (AKA Elmo) as a new mascot. (Jimmeh, from our last visit broke when we got home sadly.) We walked across the back side of the park finding short lines and Max decides to want to try snapping on Flying Eagles (Or Ghost Gliders, depending on your halloween spirit). Unfortunately, still don't know how to snap yet, (Someone PM me on how to do this as I'm a flying scooter newb) After that CarnEvil opened. I brought what was left of Jimmeh when my bro and Max were having mascot wars in line. They were smacking each other with them. I evened things out by stretching out the remains of the sticky hand and snapping it at my bro. After a run through the maze, I came up with another insane yet violent game: Paramount-isms. Each time you spot a paramount logo in the park, you call it and then smack your friend next to you. (Kind of liek Slug Bug). This got brutal later so we stopped. Top Gun was next on the list when Elmo and Penguino took a ride. (Is Top Gun sinking again, or did the pond's water level rise? The footers were submerged ) We were going to hit up Vortex again but long line and single train. Didn't want to stand for a good half hour to do more standing/beating for a minute. So, I jump in the bandwagon after sadly loosing Jimmeh somewhere out of my pouch and won a Radio-Active Homer. Now, some serious riding begins. These mascots were designed to score as many rides/credits as possible safely. (Not sneaking them on rides, like one would do with a POV). Homer's first credit/ride of the day was a rough one, Grizzly. We then hit up DZ and I sat the Homer on my lap and restrained him like a normal rider in which was secure. Back over to what was left of Yankee Harbor and I took a spin on Revvie (or Endeavor...I like Revvie better). The restraints on these "Looping Starships" are suck-tacular! Not are they only awkward but they go right into the chest. The lap bar wasn't bad as I had a good 3 inches of play. (Sweet hangtime by the way....crazy hangtime!) Sadly, the horse collar killed it. Back over to the Flying Eagles with the slowest ever crew...a good 5-8 minutes between dispatches. My bro didn't ride but he found a pair of CarnEvil glasses so we went back in again with our mascots. Good as usual. Finally, we made it over to Vortex, second to rear seat. Sadly, Homer couldn't ride as the ops wanted him to chill in the cubby holes. Brutal fun ride. Starting to get darker, we hit up Demon (Or, "The Emo" as we called it) Sweetness in the dark, especially the black tunnel. Homer took a good floppy ride as it shook around everywhere. Not sure how Emo or Penguino's ride went. We then made it to Invertigo (or as I called it "Outvertigo" ) as the lines died down. Now, what's with me and running into "rapper" idiots on this ride? I had the Homer toy on hand as these guys ask me in a baby voice "Aw...are you taking him on the ride?" I just replied "Yup!" and then started beating my friend in the head. We ended the night with another round on DZ and a nice game of "Jello" on Psycho Mouse. Jello is when you relax your body and let the forces take over. If you squish your friend, then you squish him/her. Perfect game for wild mice I must say. Now, on to some random photo fun! End it with Jeremy and Max (Where did Penguino and Elmo go?) Like the way this one came out. Night time shots of Invertigo... Jeremy, Max and Penguino return after a wrist slitting awesome ride on...you know...! Yay! it's dark out...Boo...park closes soon... Smack! Homer joins in the pwn-fest! Homer chillin' in CarnEvil queue. Homer: *gasp* uh... Let's go on this! Penguino takes on another coaster! (That took an hour to get through the course.) A newcomer joins the stuffed mascot crew! It's Radioactive Homie, Homer! What's more emo than slicing wrists? Cutting heads off, of course! No! Stop it Max!!! Thaah-whack! Someone just got pwned by Penguino. Jeremy...(Looks like a mascot showdown!) Max getting ready... (From L to R) Penguino, Jimmeh (Remains), and Emo PG-13 guys! Not in public! Max in his flyer Phantom Phlyers! Orlean's orbity goodness! Emo meets Penguino Ta-Da! It's "Emo!" (AKA, Elmo) Ok, so it's time my bro wins a prize. This game was easy as pie! Emo meets Penguino. This was the first I had seen Max's penguin pal.
man Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I spy penguino in my right pocket and I think brian was on that ride (thinking about it where did tipsy brian go this TR?)
Homer Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 When did I go to CGA? Great TR, Gumball. And Max, you have too much fun with Penguino...
Sticky Nicky Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Your Photo TR's remind me of how much I love that park. Thanks for sharing. BTW, that is Radioactive Man, not Homer. Scruffy was right.
