dr.gumbo Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Since a new NL track has'nt been posted for a while I thought I should break the chain and post one which actually has been done for quite a while. Named after the popluar kids game, Screwball scramble is a Maurer Sohne spinner based on the 'Spinball whizzer' at Alton towers. It contains the most elaborate supportwork I've done but it is'nt amazing. FACTS -Height:65ft -Speed:40mph -Length:1526ft -Elements (in order):Spiraling first drop, , twisted drop (based on 'Dragons Fury's first drop at chessington), Spinball whizzer turn (p1), Wildmouse turns, Helixs, Spinball turn (p2) Also, you can find better and more photo's here: www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p4154 Enjoy, comments are welcome! Project Eagle-071023173854000.bmp Layout, sorry if its hard to make out Screwball scramble.nltrack

Lalle555 Posted November 1, 2007 Posted November 1, 2007 Great coaster! love the compact layout and the variety of elements. even though the second spinball turn was a bit slow the overall experience was great. nice colors keep it up!
Gav Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 That was one sweet little ride, and it automatically gets two thumbs up from me for the name it has. In terms of improvements, maybe make the stall turns a bit lower so they arent so slow. Also, I think you could look at the station set up, One platform for a ride like this isn't realistic, maybe divide it up a bit so there is a separate load and unload, or maybe re angle the brake run so you can have a longer station with 2 load and 2 unload positions.
Théo the little french Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Nice job! It was smooth and funny! I also like your work for the supports.
