Ccron10 Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Since I was thinking of taking a break from my Hp creation because I'm going to the park in 2 weeks. In the mean time I'm starting a new creation. It's going to be like Wilderness America in the way of being realistic, but the park will be on a island with a volcano. I don't have time to post a full update, but I will later or tomorrow, so stay tuned! Here's a teaser pic. More to come!
Ccron10 Posted September 10, 2007 Author Posted September 10, 2007 YEAR #0 Construction Pt. 1 Guests will enter the island through this building. It also doubles as a ticket gate. There also a seperate dock for loading goods on to the island. That warehouse will store them until the go on to the store shelves. Just past the entrance building is the Guest Services/ Season Pass office. Across from it is the Volcania Island Gift Shop. The fountain in the middle is a prime meeting place for families. All of the shops in the park will always have their shelves stocked. You can see the park's volcano from anywhere on the island. Main Gate Restrooms. There will be many of these information centers throughout the park answering any questions the guests may ask. They also give out maps! This is one of many paths that lead to the Boardwalk. This stretches all along the eastern shore. One of the many food stands. Thrashers will be a very popular stand. There's also going a lot of stores too. Albert's T-Shirt Shop is one of them. When the park opens, 2 areas will be built. The Boardwalk and Pirate's Lagoon which has yet to be built. Hmm. What could they be building here? Stay Tuned and find out!
Disney Dood Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 This place looks pretty cool. It reminds me a little bit of a four star hotel's entrance.
CoasterEricHP Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 That looks awesome! Very detailed. I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses! Good job!
Ccron10 Posted September 12, 2007 Author Posted September 12, 2007 Year 0 Construction Part #2 A lot of work has been going on. A lagoon has been built and around it is an area with the looks of a carribean lagoon. The name is Carribean Cove. So far there are a few rides... Coconut Run-A familt junior coaster around tall palm trees alongside the ocean. S.S. Buccaneer-A swinging ship. Olmec God of Fire-A inverted impulse coaster with a launch out of an Incan temple and up 200ft into the air. Temple of the Golden Snake-A small fun house attraction with a spiral slide at the end to escape. Other features are a station to the Volcania Island Water Taxi and a BBQ hut with a cool deck over looking the lagoon. Stay tuned. This update is dedicated to those who lost their lives 6 years ago on that fateful day. God Bless America. The park at night in the fog. The station/temple for Olmec God of Fire. The lagoon area. Take notice of the BBQ hut with the deck at the top of the pic. The bridge and Coconut Run coaster. A bridge may be built on to an island near by. Coconut Run and the S.S. Buccaneer. I really think I out done myself with this new section.
Ccron10 Posted September 13, 2007 Author Posted September 13, 2007 No comments? Grand Opening Year #1 Pt.1 The park has finally opened! It seems to be a big hit, but some of the park is not yet finished. Olmec seems to be a very popular ride and before opening, 2 new ride opened at the last minute. A Huss Giant Frisbee and new Carousel were baught and seem to be very popular. X-treme has over 60 riders per cycle and will have short lines for being a capacity whore. The water taxi has a second station at the end of the boardwalk. As the park expands, more stations a going to be added. On an island just west of Coconut Run, some track pieces have been spotted. Hmm. What's going to happen here? Stay Tuned to find out! Later in the day, it started to rain. The lagoon area is completed. A new fountain was added in front of Olmec. X-treme looks like it will do well through out the season. The water taxi is up and running!
texashorns82492 Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 I really love the compact feel of this park. Keep us updated!
Golfie Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 -The idea of using trackbeds for path borders adds a nice, multi-leveled look to the park -The "Island Jumping" park makes the whole thing really dynamic and exciting!
America Sings Freak Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Really cool park keep up the awesome work!
Ccron10 Posted September 17, 2007 Author Posted September 17, 2007 I got the track beds idea from Steffen DK's new park. It added shape to the paths.
