Ridgepoint parks, owns very succesful parks in both Des Moines, and Seattle. They picked Tulsa for its unique varietsy, and because it a perfect market for a theme park with the closing of the family owned Joyland. From Ridgemoint Managers: Were very excited to build this all new theme park in the beautiful city of Tulsa. Were very excited about all the new thrills well throw at you this year. Were introducing a whole new type of coaster that tells the story of the old west for the year 1 season. There will also be many thrill rides for all ages to enjoy. Hi, Im Brady. Im the one that brought you pics from Seattle, and Im very proud to say that Ridgepoint has highered me as their photographer to track the progress of your new park. Ill try and get you some awesome shots, and let me tell you, this park is a one of a kind! MOJAVE Roller Coaster. Cost: 2.5 million for track and structure 3 million for theming Designer: Premier Rides Length: 800 ft. Speed: 21 mph Facts: only style of this coaster in the world An Overview of the construction that has been done. The Sbend Drop Part of the ride. The sudden direction changes is going to really surprise people. The second Drop, and straight parts The main First drop that splashes guests over the midway. Hopkins designed this ride......The bit before the drop The Parks Log Ride, is called Sante Fe Splash. Rotor is the parks oldest ride, and was transferred here from Seattle Bay Lets hope it runs a good program I never thought i would see another one of these built. Im worried about capacity though with one arm. It looks pretty fun. This unsuspecting Q house houses the Disk'o entitled SPUR I Like the Look of the Revolution Models. They have an edge that the Huss and Moser ones dont have I have a feeling this will be a very good crowd pleaser, and should reduce Mojaves line a lot. Chance Rides was called upon to supply a Revoution Ride. Ridgepoint stated this ride is only a temporary, and may be replace in the future Back View Side view. The ride looks amazing, and the structure is an amazing engineering feat. This shows the layout and theming The Mojave Struture The Overflow Q, which will be used a lot, as this ride only has a 250pph limit. Mojave's scenes/layout Dont mess with the MOJAVE Indians This shows some outlaw indians wreaking havok on some pioneers The next scene is of the old wests worst criminal, Ray Wrangler. This scene shows him trying to blow up the MOJAVE The first scene, is of 2 renegade cowboys trying to lasso a bull. Shot0024.bmp This one of a kind coaster has been in design for years, but has finally been released. It takes you on a thrilling journey through 4 scenes, describing the old west. The ride is malled MOJAVE
brandon Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Wow, the park is looking great, my only suggestion is to add another coaster
Kingbooba Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 I like everything except the log flume. Bleh.
asr Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Looks good so far, but I agree you need another coaster, something more traditional to contrast Mojave's uniqueness. Maybe a GCI woodie or some sort of looper. Also, one problem that this park has is that it is too small and cramped. You should spread them out more in my opinion, and maybe widen the pathways.
LOVE SFKK Posted September 4, 2007 Author Posted September 4, 2007 Well its only a small construction update. The park has told me that this entry erea will be called, Pionner Villiage. A new coaster was just constructed, and I dont think anyone is going to be happy about it. Lets just say its not everyones favorite manufacturur..

As I clicked on this thread, I was actually just thinking a Boomerang would work well at this park. Or maybe its a TOGO?
LOVE SFKK Posted September 5, 2007 Author Posted September 5, 2007 ^ Nope, I will have an update though in a few hours. The park has a deal with the company for 4 rides.
LOVE SFKK Posted September 11, 2007 Author Posted September 11, 2007 KINGSNAKE Press Release: Ridgepoint Tulsa plains is nearing completion on their second ride, which will take you from 0-55 in 2.9 seconds. The Company OD Hopkins will be the lead manufacturur for the ride. So get ready for Kinsnake in '08. This ride bites back! Brady: I cant believe they made hopkins build this ride. For one, this company has never done a launch, they build rough coasters!. The was finished 2 weeks ago, but the ride screeched to a halt right after the loop, when they did test runs. Hopkins assured the company that it would be worrked out, before opening, but im not sure. I heard employees talking that the launching system failed on Sat. test run. It really sucks, b/c this ride is going to be a huge money pit, and this park needs a really great thrilling coaster. The parks skyline has changed dramatically with the addition of KS. Its not that Shuttle loops are bad, but Hopkins should stick to the water stuff! It looks cool, but its a piece of crap. KS screeches and halts to a stop, and the station brakes, never engage right. The way the ride is running now, the station may never get used The wierd, launch mechanisms and the cool station. Why would they make a three ride deal with Hopkins This park has amazing flats! Yes! The park adden a top scan called Wrangler. The buffalo ride by Intamin looks really fun for kids.
LOVE SFKK Posted September 12, 2007 Author Posted September 12, 2007 Well something is in the works for next season. no comments???
Vffreak07 Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 I like everything. I dunno bout the frequent faller though. I love the concept, I just believe it would look better in a building or something. I dunno, that's just my opinion though. Other than that little aspect, the park looks great!
IwantRevenge Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 I like the idea of the park: Kick ass flats shit coasters the themeing is excellent I could never keep a steady theme in RCT2 so good on you.
