WDWliker Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 This is something I quite don't understand. During one of the TPR Spain/Europe TR's, there was a mention on a drop tower in 'Stupid observation mode' I'm slightly confused, can I have an explanation please?
thomas2 Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Yeah that also made me wonder. It's probably just a regular ride but instead of falling down you go slowly back down, and it stays at the top longer to give a good view. That's what I think.
larrygator Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 The drop tower changes the ride cycle every hour. We happened to ride it during an hour when it just took you to the top and let you down slowly. The ride cycle schedule is listed outside the queue but we didn't take notice of the current cycle when we got in the queue.
Bruno Lancetti Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Yeah... this is the Maurer Soehne tower but also Zamperla's Shot & Drop towers now works with 4 different cycles: shot, drop, shot & drop, and finally panorama cycle!!! You can take an aerial view at the top... and than the gondola comes down at a low speed!!!
