Im planning a trip to Knotts in The middle of August and I checked the website to see if anything would be in Rehab. Under the July Page I found, "Timber Mountain Log Ride: Under Renovation." Now, I dont Know about the rest of you, But Ive always loved that ride for some reason. I've been brought up on it and Would hate to see anything happen to it. Does anyone have any Idea what they are doing with it and when It will be open again or is it already open?
Wes Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 In February of this year, part of the structure caved in and it has been closed ever since. Nobody was hurt, but it's fairly serious, so they are going through and repairing and replacing all of the ceilings in the tunnels and such. No one knows when it is going to reopen.
ECZenith Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 I've been to the park in both March and July and it was still closed from the collapse. I'm pretty sure Knott's is going to implement the ride for The Haunt and I would guess at the latest it will at least be ready by then.

Then again, I don't want the caves collapsing on me... I'm glad they are fixing it. On a side note did Perilous Plunge ever re-open? Were they doing major upgrades to it or just yearly maintenance?
