Frade Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Hello I am going to visit Atlanta. I will be there from June 17 to June 25 and I would like to meet some people living there or in the area, from the days I told you above, which day would someone prefer to meet me at Six Flags? Thanks, can you also tell me what else to do ( World of Coca-Cola, Stone Mt., shopping, etc.. Six Flags of course )
coasterdude5 Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 I was going to be there but our trip got cancelled. I love that park and its scenery. It's a shame I can't go. I'll probably be there sometime in late July, though.
Sir Clinksalot Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 If you are going to World of Coke be sure to check out the Underground as well. It's actually pretty cool. Enjoy Stone Mtn, it is certainly awesome. I didn't want to leave when we stayed there for 5 days in April. Try to stay at the Mariott in Stone Mtn. at least one night. It's called Evergreen resort. Enjoy SFOG, it's a really good park. Are you going to be able to hit Dollywood or Wild Adventures while you are in the area?
bgwfreak Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 Hello I am going to visit Atlanta. Six Flags of course ) I don't live in Atlanta, but I've visited the park probably a dozen or more times since I live about 4 hours away in Charlotte. My best advice is that if you want to go downtown (and they have a lot to do there) catch the MARTA trains/"subway" into downtown. It's really easy to use and cheaper than parking as well. They only have 3 lines. North/South NorthEast/South and East/West so if you get lost on their subway you need help. lol Avoid weekends at SFOG. It tends to be very crowded and crazy. Week days are much better, like most parks. World of Coca Cola is cool, but I probably won't ever do it again. The testing room was the best part. Catch a Braves game if you can, I haven't been able to yet. Oh and don't forget Visionland http://www.rcdb.com/qs.htm?quicksearch=visionland is only like 1.5 hours west of Atlanta on I-20.
