School Holiday in USA

I want to visit Cedar Point and Kings Island before July next year, what dates do the USA school's break-up for their summer holidays and when do they end and go back to school..

I'm not entirely sure of the Ohio area. However, school is out for the summer from late May (Memorial Day) to early September (Labor Day). Any time during the school year, parks are DEAD. Other then that, summer is basically late May to early September.

 

However, some areas in the US are slowly converting over to a full year schedule, which I find ridiculous, but I'll leave that to another topic.

You then have the issues of class trips though. In late May and early June towards the end of the school year, some parks (at least in my area) can get very crowded.

Yeah, try going in mid-may. It's before schools let out, but it's early enough that they may not be going on their end-of-year trips, yet.

I don't know about there, but in Pinellas County, Florida, we get out in Late May, and go back in mid August.

Go as early in the season as you possible can if you want the lightest crowds before July. If you want the smallest crowds period, go during the first week of the local public school.

Katy get used to get out in May and start mid August but now we're starting August 27th and get less holidays. I would go during a weekday in September.

I want to go next year (wanted to go this year but couldn't) - I thought the parks only opened at weekends in September?

 

The reason I didn't go this year was because it'd have to be in august, when flights are too expensive. So I want to go next may instead - the flights will be a lot cheaper too.

 

So I think early may is the best time then.........
