TR: AVID Day at Knott's Berry Farm

On May 25, 2007, the AVID Class of 2009 at Cajon High School took a trip to Knott's Berry Farm. This is my first Photo Report, so please bare with me on captions.

 

WARNING: A few PG-13 Rated jokes and pictures.

 

We arrived at Knott's at around 1:15 p.m. We waited outside while the teachers got the tickets, which took them a long freakin' time. Damn Knott's service!

The first ride I went on...or tried to go on was Silver Bullet. I sadly chickened out .

RIDE LIST:

-Montezooma's Revenge (it was okay. Hate going backwards.)

-La Revoucion (kind of thrilling)

-Jaguar (a fun ride)

-After Jaguar, my group ditched me! I decided to roam the park alone.

-Checked to see if GhostRider was open. Sadly, it was still broken.

-After 10 minutes, they finally got GhostRider to work. I got on with no wait. Best wooden coaster I've been on.

-Rejoined my group at Silver Bullet exit. We headed to Xcelerator, which had an extremely long line. Didn't ride it that day.

-Group split up. half rode Boomerang and the others got lunch.

-Last ride of the day: Calico Mine Train

 

Now, here's the part where the school completey screwed up. We were promised to stay until 7:30. The school got the times wrong and the park closed at 6:00! We were all mad as hell! But at least we had a party at T.G.I. Friday's and in the barren parking lot.

Before I chickened out of GhostRider, I got a nice shot of the Calico Railroad Train.

Just because the park closed early on us...doesn't mean we can't have fun. Since the parking lot was empty, and we were waiting for everyone else...we played handball.

I finally found Edgar and the rest on Silver Bullet.

A coaster train peeking from behind the wood. It got lonely as mechanics tried to fix it. As soon as I heard brake hiss, I got in line in an instant!

 

Overall: The ride was fun. My first wooden roller coaster and it had to be the kick-ass GhostRider.

Because Disney didn't want to get a bad rep for the deaths they caused...they send of skulls of their victims to the Jaguar queue. LOL

I used to be in AVID freshmen year.... good times, not really though its kind of a wasted elective slot for schedualing but.. we didn't get to go to knotts either lol i'm glad you had fun and I really hope you got out of some school time to ride rollercoasters.

No kidding about the prices being scary, OUCH!! You had some cool pictures that other people don't have with their reports, definatly a good first time report!
