ECZenith
I had every intention of doing a new photo trip report but due to major storms all day it was better off I left the camera in the car. I will repost some photos I took at SFNE in the past that are worth seeing, but unfortunately there are enone from yesterday. My family and I headed to the park even with the warnings of heavy rain all day to find a pretty empty parking lot and no closed rides on the sign at the entrance to the park. Even though it was raining lightly at this point, Superman could be seen climbing the lift in the distance with riders aboard. we headed down there and waited 40 minutes only to have the ride close just as we were next in line due to thunderstorms. We spent the next 2 hours walking around in the thunderstorm riding only the indoor things like Houdini and the Bumper Cars which actually had moderate waits considering they were the only rides open. At about 2 pm the sky cleared up a little and the roller coasters and flat rides began running again. Pandemonium was the first coaster to repoen. We waited only 10 minutes but the line soon filled up to the 45 minute mark. This ride is FAST in the rain and spun like crazy on this visit! Best ride on Pandemonium I've ever got. I realllly love this little coaster. We headed back over to Crackaxle Canyon for spin dry on Tomahawk which is always running an insane program with intense spinning towards the end of the cycle. Next up was Superman where they were now running only the red train. Since many people were leaving the park due to the fact that it was now raining again the line was only about 20 minutes. We sat in the back and there was airtime a-plenty. Another great coaster with insane speed in the rain. Batman was next and actually running two trains even with the dwindling crowds. We walked onto the front seat and took two rides. The rain was starting to pick up but we decided for one last ride on the new for 2006 Splashwater Falls which had the waterfalls off. They mind as well kept them on with the now downpouring rain. This is a fun, bizarre little raft ride with some good spinning. Overall, not too many rides today due to weather, but overall a good day. Below are some older photos worth reposting, sorry I have no new ones to show. Splashwater Falls Thanks for checking out my TR, sorry for the old photos, there's always next time for fresh ones! Pandemonium's layout from above, I love this photo. Pandemonium Overview Cyclone doing some damage to some poor riders... Just pretty... The best inversion to be found at SFNE Awesome little beemer, sorry James! Batman The Dark Knight's area seems to be becoming more of a "Gotham City" themed area with the moving and retheming of the wave swinger. "Crime Wave" looks really good next to Batman now. (not seen in this photo) The beautifully painted Twister top spin. My favorite flat ride in the park, Tomahawk! Catapult opened up towards the end of the day, absolutely insane flat ride that I declined today... Twisted finale The mist was on in the tunnels despite the strong rains, really weird feeling even to this day to hit mist at that speed. If only the skies were this clear today... I really need to retake this photo with my new camera... Here's SROS in all its glory.
Airtime&Gravity
Great photos and TR. SFNE looks like a really nice park, and it is one of the SF parks I want to go to the most. The photos seemed to do a good job of portraying the park, and I can see why almost everyone likes the park.
coastermaniac123
I am going my self on the 12th, since school for me is out, but most are still in. Hoping the crowds are minor, but I'll manage. Some of those shots are fabulous, I absolutely love the one under S:ROS of the helix.
