zer0groll
I was wondering if any of you guys would know or could guess if shiekra will open earlier than expected (the 16th) for test runs with the new trains. I'm going on the 11th with really high hopes that it will be open. I'm thinking it will be closed so if you guys could confirm or reject my suspicions that would be great. Thanks. robbalvey
I had thought I heard that BGT was going to try to switch the trains almost overnight. Have you called the park? Are you SURE it's going to be closed the day you are there? --Robb
Guest
From what I understand media day for the new trains is 6/15. It could happen, but it really depends on how things go. Call or email the park to get a better jist of when it might either 'soft' open or completely open.
BarryH
From these links... http://www.buschgardens.com/bgt/sheikra-webcast-press-release.pdf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SheiKra ...it appears Sheikra closed on May 28 and will be down for about 3 weeks. Wikipedia says it will reopen on June 16. I would expect Sheikra to be 100% open on the 16th. If it will open any earlier is anyone's guess. It may or may not. I say watch these boards, BGA's website, and the unofficial BGA site www.bgtguide.com for further information.
zer0groll
Thanks guys. The busch gardens website says that sheikra will be closed for 3 weeks starting may 28th. According to that unofficial BGA website, they started testing the trains yesterday. So I guess there's a possibility that they'll be letting riders on to test it when im there. I guess calling them is a good way to find out too. Thanks again.
crazydaveh
You might get lucky and see them soft open it the week before, but don't go to the Hard Rock Casino down the road from BGT and bet on it!
