Found this site by accident when bored at work and been hooked since. Been a coaster fan for years, first was Corkscrew at Alton Towers in about 84. What I was wondering i can someone clarify the references to credits. I'm guessing its a credit for each coaster ridden? What if I ride a coaster more than once? What if a ride is coasterish? Such as Atlantis at Sea World, Orlando.

Thanks for putting up with such a basic question and I look forward to meeting some of my fellow Brits at Camelot for the Media Day.

Credit refers to a coaster count, or the amount of unique coasters you've ridden. Each coaster is typically refered to as a "credit".

There's not set rule to counting coasters. It's up to each person how they count. Some people won't count powered, some will, some won't count water coaters, etc.

It's purely a personal thing.

If your name is Jeff Johnson, you will count each seat as a credit

Others will count dual tracked coasters as two credits

Some count separate dual tracks (ie. WDW's Space Mountain) as two credits

Many count dueling coasters as two credits (ie. Gwazi)

Some count powered coasters as credits

Some count water coasters as credits (ie. Journey to Atlantis)

Most of us do count kiddie coasters as credits

For more about credits, check out the Dictionary/Encyclopedia sticky in the Random forum. Don't forget that Joe has four credits!

As someone who doesn't do the whole "credit" thing, I was curious as to how clones worked. Is it common practice to count every Boomerang separately, or does it just count as one credit? Judging by picture-captions, it would seem each one is separate, which seems kinda cheap.

Personally, I think people should do two separate counts, one for total coasters ridden, and one for "unique" coasters ridden. But that's just me.

Has McDonalds really served billions, or the same 100 million people multiple times over?

And is a second heart attack added as a separate credit?
