Vekoma Fan Boy Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 First thing, this is sort of to make up for Warbird. it really wasn't going much of anywhere and it got deleted accidentally while I was deleting some old and unfinished tracks. (1.5 gigabytes of tracks. ) And I figure since I have spent so much time on it today (~ 6-7 hours) I might put some stuff up here. But not much is done trackwise because I spent a good while on each little element running it through the onboard smoother, then Buster's, then running it through AHG and looking for tiny flaws ect. and studying Maverick's, elements, Psychology of the ride (well at least as much of it as I could get without riding it) and supports. It is a LONG process. and now I'm experimenting with supports and will soon start on something similar to the twisted horseshoe rolls. And one request, could someone with the full version of the construction kit be nice and make me a 60 foot section of straight Intamin 2-rail track with track nodes every 20 feet. ( Track nodes being where the supports connect to the track if they show up on the 3DS) Please? And PM Me if you will so I can give you the color codes. Thanks in advance! Stats Height: 124 ft Drop: 117.9 Speed: TBD Length: TBD Launches: 1 (will increase to 2) Inversions: TBD Trains: 6 Pics! S-Bends after lift w00t! Just to give some scale to this thing, this stick figure is exactly 5-Feet tall. Seamless Supports w00t! ZOMG POV!!!11!!!!@@@
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted May 29, 2007 Author Posted May 29, 2007 Even though no one wants to comment, here's an update! As you can see, I've removed the hill and high turn, in their place there will be another hill, but after that I honestly don't know. One of the trains with a (Temporary?) gunmetal paint scheme. The Staters that "launch" the train up the lift hill, these have changed a bit since this picture was taken. And lastly a current overview of the progress so far.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted May 30, 2007 Author Posted May 30, 2007 Does anyone have anything to say? P.S. There will be an update later today, I just have to add the hill, AHG the current section of track, and add supports to them.
coasterlover420 Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 You should completely finish track work before AHGing or adding supports. It won't help if you want to change something later to add some more track or something...
BiCoastal Kid Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 ^Well, I'd say that if he's going into a brake or launch section he can AHG that section if he wants to, but yeah. No supports yet, and it would be easier later on. Also, if you are going for a maverick type ride, you should actually have the transitions at more of a bend. From pictures and reviews, there is actually some air in those transitions
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 Yeah, I've modified the bends a bit, but the straight section is still there though, only becuase without it the lats are really pushing it, and that is with a lead out/in. And the reason for the supports on the hill is that the supports only go up to the section that will be ahg'd, after I get to the second lauch (wow i'm so orgininal ) that section will be ahg'd and supported.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted June 3, 2007 Author Posted June 3, 2007 NOTE: This project is officially being put on "On Hold" Status until furter notice.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted July 13, 2007 Author Posted July 13, 2007 Project has been taken of of On Hold status! Check my NLDC page for new screens. And sorry for those broken images, I'll go fix those in a few... ooh triple post. That is a bit rare...
asr Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 I can't wait to see more of this! That Zero-G looks awesome
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted October 19, 2007 Author Posted October 19, 2007 UPDATE: This project has been partially scrapped. Mind you it is STILL being worked on, but there are so many problem spots that I have just taken out most of what I had done. All that remains is the lift, stations, brakes & most of the first drop. The project has also been officially renamed, now instead of Mogul, now it is to be called K-27. I'll get the newest pictures up by tomorrow!
coaster-wiz123 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 it's good exept for the fact that it's missing banked corners
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted October 20, 2007 Author Posted October 20, 2007 ^You aren't familiar with AHG are you?
