thefitness Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Hey, Today my mom and I went to Universal Orlando to renew our annual passes and ride a few rides. To make a long story short we got on three rides, Terminator, Mummy, and Twister. Crowds were HUGE! It was the most crowded I've seen both parks, other than peak nights at HHN. I couldn't stop to take too many pictures because swarms of people would walk in front of the camera. I mostly included updates/construction going on in the parks. Picture Time! Morale of this post: Deffinately invest in the Express Passes if your not a guest at a resort, If of course it is a crowded day like this. Summer crowds are here! Random picture of area by DD, just to show the crowds. Thanks for reading!Sorry it wasn't longer. They are also painting the area around Caro-Suess-El. This guy is finally getting a fresh coat of paint. Facing the theatre. Facing CityWalk. When I was taking pictures of the theatre I heard people saying "Oh, It's like their Cirque De Soliel!" Looks even better close up. The Theatre looks great! Blue Men! These are the first performers I've seen here in a while. Anyone know what this is? Random Refurb. There doesn't really seem to be any noticeble changes to the outside of the building. Now I kinda wish the "stardust" had something to do with The Hollywood Dream Ride.(only because I don't like The Simpsons) The car is gone, the train is still there, and the store is still open. YAY! Dora and Jimmy! Twister was a half hour wait. The wind effect wasn't working today. On to the parks! Mummy was 60 minute wait, so we did Single Riders. Then right before we got on it broke down. They turned all the lights on, I would've loved to be riding when that happend. Mmm, The Kitchen is a pretty good resturant. YAY! Hard Rock is a really cool hotel. I haven't stayed there since the renovation though. Allright after waiting in line for an hour to renew our passes, we walked over to Hard Rock for some lunch. Hart and Huntington Sign.
BeemerBoy Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Twister was a half hour wait. The wind effect wasn't working today.Yeah, I'm guessing that might be a bit of an issue. A couple questions out of sheer curiousity. Does anyone know if they ever close this down for a day or two out of respect for major tornado victims? Also, what are the discs at the top of each BMG sign? Nice quick little update on things.
Erik Johnson Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 ^^ The attraction's grand opening was delayed for a couple of months when a group of Tornados touched down in Kissimmee which killed 20-30 people.
thefitness Posted May 28, 2007 Author Posted May 28, 2007 Also, what are the discs at the top of each BMG sign? Nice quick little update on things. I'm pretty sure they are mirrors that make that "dancing light" effect.
