asr Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Looks great, probably the best re-creation I have seen of a Vekoma Flying Dutchman. I like how you used the theme from Libertyland's old Arrow Corkscrew too. I can't wait to download this park EDIT: CoasterDude, do you mean Catfish Cove?
coasterdude5 Posted July 15, 2007 Author Posted July 15, 2007 Yeah, I wasn't thinking when I typed it...

coasterdude5 Posted July 16, 2007 Author Posted July 16, 2007 Final Update Year 5 DOWNLOAD I've included a sign package that you can download separately Well, Year 5 is coming to an end and I'll be moving next month so I'm afraid this will be the last update for a while... Revolution is an awesome coaster. The station reminds me of an I.H.O.P., though. Don't fall asleep on this coaster! Vertical loopage. The ride can be seen from the entrance. Revolution. Park overview. I heard what they might possibly be doing for the next few seasons. Next season they may add a water park. The entrance will be at the other end of the Egypt section. It will be very large, and will be built up over the next two seasons. And then they're in talks with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to add a children's section. The entrance would be at the end of the Mud Island area. This park will definitely expand over the next few years. Thanks for reading! DOWNLOAD
asr Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 There is a support going right through the turn just before the loop on Revolution. Also, where do I put the signs package? I'm assuming the my pictures folder, but...
coasterdude5 Posted July 16, 2007 Author Posted July 16, 2007 It doesn't matter, you'll have to add in the signs manually.
Tobias94 Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Awesome park, awesome coasters and awesome theming. Will it return sometime?
Xtremecoaster Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Trip Report (No pictures): Memphis was pretty hard to find on the map,but after a nomerous hours I finally made it to the city and made it to ROCK,N,SOUL MEMPHIS!Heartbraker was overcrowded, the line covered the hole queue. So I decided to go somewhere else.Revolution was also overcrowded,so was Maat-Ka,Hustle & Flow & Zippin Pippin. It was the most crowded weekend of the year,so it was maybe not unusual. So I got to ride THE KING instead. It was pretty cool, tough. Around noon, people leaved Zippin Pippin due to the hot sun,and many was flocking to Mighty Mississipi instead. So I got to ride Zippin Pippin,it was fun with pops of airtime, but the seat could be really hot in the sun.Revolution was also not overcrowded,so I headed it directly after Zippin Pippin. It was my first flying coaster, and it was AWESOME!Heartbraker had an short line too,Mighty Mississipi had an line over two hours, half of todays geusts were heading towards the ride.Heartbraker was the most AWESOME ride of the day,it went through the station so fast that I couldn`t get an good photo of it passing.Maat-Ka was also very fun, espacieally Maat.It was awesome to duel through the most twisty course I ever experienced.Hustle & Flow was next, but it was pretty boring, not much fun,and there were bad operations today. When I had rode all the coasters in the park, and it became evening,I took a last ride on Mighty Mississipi, becuse people came back to the coasters. It was splashy, and very fun. Then I leaved the park, goodbye ROCK,N,SOUL MEMPHIS!
coasterdude5 Posted April 22, 2008 Author Posted April 22, 2008 MEMPHIS - The Smithsonian Institution announced plans today to purchase and completely overhaul the Rock n' Soul Memphis themepark that opened seven years ago. The themepark opened to massive crowds but attendance levels have since been declining. A new attraction has not been added since the flying Revolution coaster that debuted two years ago. FedEx, the company who owns the park, agreed to the sale. The park will open for a shortened three month season this April before closing for nine months for the transformation to take place. Most of the parks thrill rides will be removed, but Hustle & Flow, Zippin Pippin, and Mississippi River Expedition will all remain at the park. The Smithsonian Institution will rebuild the Beale Street area to liken it more to the actual famous street. Several educational exhibits will be added to the new street area. The park's entrance building and plaza will be heavily enhanced and enlarged. The Egypt area of the park will close and will eventually be converted into a nature walk for famillies. "We are very excited to see the new direction this park is heading," park spokeswoman Tanya Green stated, "we expect to see record crowds when the park reopens." The park is not losing its musical aspect with this new wave of "educational influence". The parks existing stages will be remodeled and brought-up-to-date. The Smithsonian Institution is expected to announce a ground-breaking concert series later this year with big-name performers such as Duran Duran and Michael Buble. Rock n' Soul Memphis is a 60-acre family entertainment destination focusing on Memphis' influence on music throughout the decades. Season passes for the shortened season are for sale at a reduced price and may be purchased from the park website.
