Belated TR of my recent visit to DLR with my BFF Donna, plus decided to check out the WB Studio Tour too. Rather than do a typical TR since everyone has either already been or already knows what all the DLR is all about, this is just more of a random trip report and random arty-farty shots around the resort.

So if you're looking for coaster pics here, besides the facts that there just aren't many anyways at the DLR, you'll be disappointed. But if you're an architect dork like me, this is sort of a random homage and appreciation to the designers and landscapers who put so much and so many layers of intricate detail in every nook throughout the park, just never fails to amaze me on every visit.

Drove down part of the way and stayed the night at the Lebec Ramada at the foothills of The Grapevine, very nice place! Woke up the next morning with these nice views around the motel:

Checking in at the stunning Grand Californian, these beauties are the first things that greet you once you drive up to the hotel gate:

Had booked an upgraded view of DTD, but instead got this much preferred view!:

Monorail heading straight for our balcony! (on 4th floor, so no rooms below us, just track):

Since there's not much at DCA that hasn't been already picture-taken to death, or worth shooting in the first place, these are honestly the only DCA pics I took. Yaa for Dragons!:

Had to stop in DTD to say hey to my girl Ursula!:

Hello gorgeous! (for those that didn't know, she was inspired by the late great much missed Divine):

Best reason to come to Anaheim:

Just some random shots of each area, here's some of Adventureland:

Frontierland:

Cheer for poo!!:

Nawlins:

Toons:

Fantazyland:

Few night shots (still trying to figure out why my spots keep coming out on my night shots ):

Last few shots from our balcony:

Moon over Grizzly Peak:

On our way home, stopped at the WB Studio Tour, had never been, was very interesting and fun. Didn't get too many pics since they understandably have to confiscate your cameras several times throughout the tour though:

What turned out to be a highlight was the huge cloud of smoke that began to appear:

Our guide called in to make sure it wasn't the studio on fire, turned out to be the LA/Griffith Park fire of a few weeks back:

Sure did look like it was right there, too close for my comfort:

Had a blast as always in SoCal, will be back soon for sure, thanks for checking out the pics.

^^^ The buffer between the hotel and park has alot of trees to block the view, just to give the hotel guest some privacy. But yeah, pretty amazing considering the entire park was just a paved parking lot a few years back.

Thanks for the comments guys, appreciate it!
