Ok I know you guys have flown a lot so I hope you can help me with my question! Ok... so I am flying from Tulsa to DFW and from DFW to MCO. Both flights are American Airlines, so are they conecting flights? Oh and in DFW will I have to worry about my baggage, or will American Airlines take it from one plane to the other? Thanks in advance for your help!

Yep, that is a connecting flight and as far as I know you will not see your baggage.

If you are flying internationally into the US and have a connecting flight, you will collect your baggage to go through customs but since you are not, you don't have that problem.

Have fun in Orlando. I was a castmember last summer and it was the best.

In connecting flights, the baggage is automatically transferred from one plane to another. You pick up your bags at your end destination.

well... you hope it is transferred at least! American Airlines is one of the lowest-rated airlines in terms of bags lost... and customer service and on-time flights, and, well, everything!

I fly 3 to 4 times a year and have never lost a bag. I fly American a lot and never have had any trouble and I will be flying them next month through DFW to MCO too.

Usually a bag shows up late. I have had that happen a couple of times. It ends up on the next flight for whatever reason. Don't wait around, make them deliver it to your hotel.

Oh they are not that bad. 99.2% of the bags they transport make it to their destination. That means they only lose about 2,400 bags a day

Anyways. Thanks guys for all the help. I am glad to know I will not have to worry about my bags till I get to Orlando
