DenDen Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Hi R&E! I have one of your DVDs already, and am ready to take advantage of your sale. There's only one problem. My new laptop DVD drive SCRAPES disks with stickers on them. (They're too thick and not even-weighted) Is it possible to order DVDs without any labeling on the disks? I'm still going to order, just wanted to know if this was possible. thanks for running such a wonderful site! Dennis
SharkTums Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Of course! Just tell Robb in your order to do no labels! We've had people request this before as well.
Angry_Gumball Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 I know it would be costly, but more efficient in the long run...have you guys checked into the inkjet printers that can print directly onto inkjet printable discs? It would save time applying stickers and would have a better overall feel (no accidental creases, peeling, scraping, etc). We actually use these things at work and seem to hold up in everyday production (100 discs per day per printer).
exmouse Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 I use those at work and find it painfully slow and unreliable. 6 minutes to duplicate and print a 30 minute DVD isn't good. It often picks up multiple discs and gets its nickers in a twist forgetting where its already put a disc. We've got 2 and both are as bad as each other.
DenDen Posted May 7, 2007 Author Posted May 7, 2007 I have an inkjet disk printer. I love it. BUT.... The HUGE drawback to these is the ink, it's SOOOOO expensive. For my model, (It's an epson) generic ink is hard to find, and when you find it, it's sold out. The printer itself cost less than it would take to fill the ink in the printer. To fill my 6 tanks, it costs around $130, and for what R&E print on their disks, it would suck the ink dry in about 10 disks. Hardly worth it. I got the Lightscribe as well, but I like my color.
