verticalzero Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 From Screamscape. Screamscape has just learned that a fire broke out inside the park’s Droomvlucht (Dreamflight) suspended dark ride attraction either Sunday or Monday. Emergency teams were able to put out the fire within five minutes and no guests were injured other than a little exposure to smoke. From what I understand, this was an electrial fire caused by a short-circuit in one of the control boxes. No word on when the attraction will be up and running again. ------------------------------------------------------------- I am so glad the fire services put this out as quickly as possible, it is my fav dark ride and to loose this would be un-forgivable. No pic's of the damage yet
ECZenith Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 ^ Droomvlucht is a dark ride at Efteling in the Netherlands.
snuggles Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Ok, hopefully there wasn't much damage. A fire in a darkride is never good..
Ccron10 Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Take the old Ghost Ship ride at Kennywood for an example, that ended up totaling itself and a few other rides.
IceDragon Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 good... I'm going there soon... Ice *Why didn't they save The Wicked Witches Haunt?* Dragon EDIT: This better not have been the one where you go sideways through a fantasy land and the goblin jumps up at you right near the end...

That's him, the fire was in the last part, where the goblin jumps at you It happened yesterday (April 30), the fire was put out in 5 minutes, the evacuation took 1 our and 20 minutes. The attraction is closed until further notice for inspection of the problem. As far is I know there is no damage to the attraction

If there were any damages, it shouldn't take to long to fix right? I'm going in either June, July, August or even as late as October. I went when I was about 4 and went on it with my parents. It really really scared me! I had nightmares for the next 3 days... Then I found it funny
