Guest Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 For the benefit of anyone who might be interested, I sent an email to the contact address on the park's web site inquiring as to when/if the new park would open this year. I today received the following response: Opening has now been set for spring 2008.... Thank you for your interest in Wild Escape Theme Park. Regards, Steve Minard Steven.Minard@wildescape.com Personally, I'm not at all surprised given the lack of information/promotional material combined with the reputation of the developer thus far. Aw well, one less place I have to spend money on this year. -Jason
coastermaniac1 Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 I was actually looking for more information on this yesterday. Is there any more information on the 2 coasters?
Scaparri Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Thanks. I've been wondering why there haven't been more updates. It's disappointing, though not surprising at all. I was looking forward to hitting that park up this year.
jamesdillaman Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 I'm gonna be the first to say I'd be plesantly surprised if you will be able to hit this park up in 2008, as I'd expect another delay. -James "Look at the track record...." Dillaman
carolinacaniac Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Or maybe even at all. If the past of the company behind it means anything, I would bet it is possible this may only be an idea, and not a reality. How often do we see concepts come up and nothing gets done with it? Wild West World is one of the very few to have made it out so far, and Hard Rock in Myrtle Beach is coming along too, but how many others have been cancelled?
robbalvey Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 What is the history behind this park? --Robb "Knows nothing about it." Alvey
carolinacaniac Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I don't know about Wild Escapes history, but if I remember correctly, the same company mentioned creating something a lot like this some where in the Midwest (Kansas?) and it never came about. That was what I was refering to, but I could be wrong.
