Hhappy Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 In the past it was always very quiet on this day of the year at the park. Apparently time's change and there were plenty of people today. Enough said. time for some pics. Wind and sunshine do present some nice photo moments. Hi everyone, look at my ... It is time for a "special" tribute. In a couple of days this ride will be closed and removed from the parc. Another coaster will come (according to a nice lady) but this will take a "little" while. Officially nothing is told yet to the fans. So today was the moment to try to make some different pictures. Everybody is still smiling at this moment. Bye bye, i'm not gonna miss this ride. Time for a headache. I cannot remember the last time i rode this one.. so what the heck. Today was the day to revisit this friend. Including some nice onboard entertainment. These guys did everything to get a smile on a kids face. Just look at the kid in front of them. He's not noticing the ride, just looking at them.. Plenty of time to try to take some nice onboard pics since we got 6 laps today. more to come..
Hhappy Posted April 30, 2007 Author Posted April 30, 2007 Part 2: Despite the lovely sun it was still chilly and not too many kids were playing with water. I just love this mouse. Especially in the back seat it's a nice test for your stomach. True words.. This log flume has not changed a bit the last years. Still big lines and long waiting times. All of this for a ride..... Lucky splash shot. Looks like they did something to the splash since it was not as wet as it used to be. Remember this dude? I just loved the movie you guys made a couple of years ago. Sunshine and some wind. I'm afraid of heights.. from the ferris wheel you see things from a different angle. Nice castle.. but the ride.. i've seen it enough and i'm not interested anymore. more to come.
Hhappy Posted April 30, 2007 Author Posted April 30, 2007 Last pics. Robin Hood. A nice woody but i cannot wait for Troy to be finished at Toverland. There used to be some kind of stunt show at that place ( i have not seen it for a couple of years) But that's closed this year. I guess they will put something back.. but what? Goliath.. For me the best coaster (at the moment) in the Netherlands. Front row and this part make it fun. Excalibur. I just wish they would use the water a bit more and soak the folks during the ride... High and far away. it was just a little bit windy at the top... Yep, this was Goliath. For some reason El Condor was closed today. And it would not reopen during the day. Looks like there are some "big" problems at the moment for this coaster. Yes, you can get wet in this one. And last but not least there is Xpress. It surprised me today since it was the only coaster without waiting time. Normally it's crowded but today i was lucky. And yes, he is still here. Hope you enjoyed the pics.
verticalzero Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 I love this Park, the layout, lovely gardens, ride Ops, other staff, everyone so friendly, the mighty "Goliath" "X-Press" should be enclosed like FOF's at KI Thank you "La Via Volta" for giving me roughness 10 times in 2 years. RIP(since I live in South England and takes me 7 hours to drive to the Park). Where is the coaster moving to, or is it ready for the scrap line...? WW do need to add more coasters in the next few years, another woodie perhaps like "Troy". Does the park have height limit...? Let's hope global warming does not come 2 quickly for Holland as I would not like to try "Robin Hood" or "Goliath" with the 1st drop underwater. I look forward to returning to this Park and De Eftling this year, staying at the 5 star Centre Parc's De Eemhof . Most of the "text" is in Dutch but so easy to follow and understand.
