verticalzero Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Robb, Do you mind if I send an email to "Cedar Fair" to tell them they might be making a mistake adding the "Mythe Beach" trains to SOB. I know they might not take any notice but it's worth the time to show them what coaster fans think of adding these trains to SOB. I would like to attach some of the comments from the forum if that is ok..?
ParkTrips Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 I'm not Robb, but you would have private message'd Robb if you didn't want to hear what others thing, so..... If I was a Cedar Fair official, I would be real annoyed at someone else telling me what to do. Especially if its "just another coaster enthusiast" whom I'm sure they get their share of crap from. I know they might not take any notice but it's worth the time to show them what coaster fans think of adding these trains to SOB. but what coaster fans think isn't necessarily good for the park. I would just let them do their thing. Also, attaching TPR to your email or letter without Robb's permission is, as far as I would think, a no-no
Carnage Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Execs from Cedar Fair read the forums, so posting copies of forum posts is probably redundant. Though they'd probably be curious why someone from England is so interested in a ride in Ohio.
verticalzero Posted March 9, 2007 Author Posted March 9, 2007 Thanks for the advice Parktrips, I will not post anything to Cedar Fair. I love this Website . I want to show CF how much it will cost them if those trains do run on SOB. It would be a shame to see SOB or "Son Of Pain" SBNO or razed within the next season or 2 due to the roughness. What a waste of money it was to build it when the design could of been so much better. I think Coaster manufactors and builders like GG and GCI should listen and ask advice of coaster fan's to produce even better steel and wood coasters for the future.

SoB will never be a good ride, and it deserves to be burnt to the ground so that something good can be built on it's spot.
ParkTrips Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 I want to show CF how much it will cost them if those trains do run on SOB. but the thing is, I am sure they know how much its going to cost. Its likely just a move to prolong the ride's life...
Carnage Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 I think Coaster manufactors and builders like GG and GCI should listen and ask advice of coaster fan's to produce even better steel and wood coasters for the future. I wouldn't be arrogant enough to assume I know how to build a coaster betting then GG or GCI. Being a coaster enthusiest does not make you an expert on everything. Don't try and tell them how to run their business.
ghost007jas Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Exactly, you see where listening to kids got Magic Mountain :-/. I would assume they know a little bit more about what they're doing then me
IceDragon Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 i think you should, i normally have a great conversation with park managers and other people i randomly email and the more friendly you get with them, the more likely you will recieve updates on the parks, etc. i think CP may not like what you said, but they will either a) take it into consideration b) ignore it completely c) if worst comes to worst, send an email back saying how unhappy they felt. its the internet, youre not gonna get killed for giving some friendly advice, as long as you dont say something like omg wtfs up with u puttin the wrong trains on SoB? its gonna make the ride real sh*te n i wnt ride it eva agen. 1) its rude 2) the grammar sucks 3) i wouldnt read that in a month of mondays. as long as you are polite, state everything you want, ask a few questions (not personal, mind you) and be thankful for any reply you may recieve (be it good or bad), you cant go wrong good luck!
