Noobitizer Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 So some time in April I will be leaving on my first Navy cruise, and the other day some of the ports were posted, they include: -Kobe, Japan -Hong Kong, China -Saigon, Vietnam -Naval Base Guam I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me some information on what parks (or other points of interest) are in the area,, transportation, just basic stuff. I only get about 2 days in port each time. Anyways any help would be appreciated. -charles
thecoasterkid Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I personally have absolutely no idea about parks in that area, but I might be able to help you get some answers. You can check out rcdb.com and use the country search's and try to see if you can come up with anything in the general areas that you'll be. You can also try re-posting this in the Ask Alvey section and Robb or Elissa might catch sight of it and help you out over there.
SharkTums Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Hong Kong is pretty obvious... They have a really good subway and rail system that is easy to navigate. I would spend one day at HK Disney and one day at Ocean Park. (Plus some time both those days to sightsee a bit as it is a pretty impressive city!) Kobe Japan... With the help of bullet trains you can pretty much get to 90% of the major parks in Japan within 5 hours. Choose one or two and have a blast!
