I thought this deserved it's own topic since the others were about the golf course and Flying Turns (and some of their past sites were pretty bad, this ones actually really nice), if it doesn't its alright.

Knoebels launched their new site design today after being closed a couple months. Some of the pages aren't completely finished, but overall the site looks much better then any previous sites (especially that last one) Also, it lists not just rides, but attractions, and Three Ponds is one of them. I'm just glad they finally got a site that really shows who they are, some of the past ones weren't so great at all.

^ It was new back in 1927, I think? It's a very rare vintage Herschell brought back to life by Knoebels. I'm not sure but there are only two left in the states.

They never said it was brand new, just new to the park. They always mentioned it was refurbished, they even had pictures of it in its prior condition (rusty and old)

Yes, finally!

There are a couple new things- Flying Turns and Three Ponds golf course being one of them. I also noticed something new at the campground. It's the "Dream Suite" which is (as per the website): "A honeymoon style park model unit; complete with round bed, heart shaped tub, mood lighting, bath and kitchenette." Now that sounds like the perfect cabin for TPR!

I noticed something unusual about the pictures used for the Cosmotron and the Satellite rides. See if you can figure out what's different about those photos..

yup- you got it.

The Cosmotron picture shows the previous Traver Caterpillar ride (it has a custom Wisdom SilverStreak now).

Satellite now has a metal grating on the nose and sides, and the flourescent tubes were replaced with turbolites.

Ahh, how interesting, I wonder why? I'm sure they will snap some new ones when 2007 starts up, the ones up there now are just place-holders since they've never had them pictured (for some odd reason...)
