Yay...I'm happy. I got the Wii. I had no clue that I was camping out until the last minute when my mom and bro held a spot in line for me. I was #33 in line at a Best Buy. After work, I headed home real quick to grab some goodies such as my NDS, jacket, hat, etc...and we were off for the 15 hour wait from the time I got off work. Dinner consisted of an Elissa friendly meal at McDonalds so I knew the night was gonna be good. Shortly after, we situated our 'camp site' and got to know the people around us as we had the remainder of the night to spend with 'em. Everyone was cool with each other, conversed with each other and so on. That night, I picked up Monkey Ball just to get myself prepared. Later that night, me and 4 others got a nice game of MKDS going until my DS battery decided to die...so, I borrow another friend's DS. Besides all the good stuff going on, we did experience utter idiots. They drive by asking "What are you waiting for? Get a life." and we responded "We're waiting for the LeapFrog leap pad!" and that shut 'em up. As the night went on, we decided to get some 5 player Tetris going...but it was getting cold and our hands didn't want to move. A group of people way ahead of us went all out with a TV, propane heater, Gamecube, and Smash Bros tourney. It was a great night and everything was pretty quiet after the store closed.

Here's how the whole setup ran. There was originally an unofficial roster. Later that night, Best Buy duplicated the roster and officialized it. Every 3 hours, we did a roll call and those who weren't there were eliminated...Didn't happen though. After roll call, it was time for the 'wii break' or potty break. Pretty much, the rest of the night, we chilled literally as fog came in and the end result....Turns out that the store had a whopping 102 units available, which as mentioned, I was 33. Only 40 left empty handed, which were mainly early morning latecomers that were never added to the roster. Lastly, a worker tortured us by saying they were going to raffle off the numbers rather than stick with first come first serve style. I knew he was BSing though.

On the other hand, it doesn't look like our local target had much...they still have tons of games left over and tons of Wii-motes. No nunchuck though otherwise, I would have nabbed it.

And I must say, every penny of it was well spent. This console is sweet!

Whoa. You have a strange and creepy bust alongside your television. I hope you knew... It's a little frightening.

Congratulations on your Wii.
