Hey everybody out there!

You know I got NL sim in Mad Data site 3 months ago but

I can't still get a hang of the way to build coasters in NL though

a couple of months gone..... do I needa use any formulas like

trig functions or algebra for track designs?! I do need NL experts

help or my NL gaming would be kinda waste stuff..... I tried

to use these stuffs in net surfing though.....

Any ideas?

uhmm... the best way is just to make a coaste you think is good and upload it. You WILL get better by time ya know? look at me! last year i made Titan and just recently i made The Beast

I consider this a major improvement and it all hjappend with time and experimenting!

The CAD design is really powerful once you get it down. However, you brought up math, so I'm assuming you want to build tracks with GS Elementary. I don't know much about the program, but ' sure someone here would be willing to help.

However, what level are you on with the CAD system (Like, can't make track, can't shape it, supports, etc.). It would help if we kind of know what you're having trouble with.

GS elementary is really easy to use, unless you want to make your own elemant wizard. all you have to do is enter the specs you want and it generates it for you.

If you have any more questions just PM me.

SFNERules< I was gonna make CP's giga but this CAD complex

design won't let me build any kinda track since I dunno the way

I can shape it real easy! And how can I shape angled track?

I mean I wanna shape lift hill at 30 deg with 5 m radius!

Happy if you would tell how to do that stuff! You're my side.....

Two things, one MF's lift is 45 degrees, and two you can do the lift in a few pieces with Elementary, you said the pullout has a 5m radius right? Well go into elementary (and note keep the icon and folder titled NLEWizards on the desk top or the program won't work) Go to file, new element wizard, hill section; it will ask you for initial radius, according to your info it is 5 then it will ask for final radius which is also 5 becuase it doesn't increase in radius. The it will ask for for start angle, which is obviously 0 then it will ask for final angle which 45, click ok and there is the pullout, save it as a no limits element and you can use it in your track.

Wow thanks for ya help! But if I shape 45 deg lift hill track by hand

do I need to use math stuffs like trig function (such as sin, cos, tan?)

sorry i made double posts today.....

To shape a hill by hand you can really just "eye" it, you don't need to use any math (however you can use the grid to calculate angle, decent, etc. with trig formulas). Shaping by hand is more a long the lines of using node concentrations than actual math functions.

From an earlier post:

I can shape it real easy! And how can I shape angled track? Taiko Confused Red

It took me a while to get this aswell, but all you need to do is go in the editor, click the edit menu, click add vertex (before first if you want to build 'backwards'), and click on the grid; you'll see a (blue, if you didn't change any segment flags) strand appear, thats your actual track. Then using the views and grid to your advantage, you can shape it using the handles (clicking the blue dots at the end of the segment. Blue dots are used to move the segment along the grid, handles are used to shape it).

A good way to learn shaping is to get someone else's track and kind of pick it apart, mimmicking what they do for lengths, etc.

It does take a while to learn, but it's worth it. Just keep at it and you'll get it.

thanks for both NL expert guys! me wanna try ya way out right off and

also wanna let ya see my rides. hope ya would share 'em to other TPR

people thru TPR cool NL upload spot! thanks again!

Since I've gotta get a hang of shapin' hill track I tried to make

45 deg shaped hill by hand. So could ya sort this hill's radius

out so I can make out what formulas did ya use for a question?

Hey this stuff's what I made by hand so do you see this is kinda good lookin' shaped hill? neat?!
