Twister II Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 These are from our poetry unit in school; My Last Goodbye Im just going to write whats on my mind I’m searching for answers I can not find I am alone, I feel so lonely My happiness fake, I am a phoney Of my hearts true feelings I wish I could speak The people will judge me, they’ll call me a freak These feelings are ghosts that ever haunt me Powered by fear the people taunt me No-one to turn to, no-one to tell No ray of light in this desolate hell The darkness its takes me At night I cry I look to the world My last good bye The Bite of the Raptor from Jurassic Park by Michael Chriton(sp?) Raining Splashing on the ground and leaves Rumbling Rumbling The swirling quick beat emerges From the dark, cloudy sky above “Call a doctor!” is what is said Blood drenched the boy Carried by older men They proclaim a construction Accident, shining pale and white We knew he was attacked, attacked by what All he muttered, “Raptor,” faintly, “Lo sa raptor” Raptor, bird of prey The Jump (only 1/2 of poem) I can see little movement before the bushes ahead Some one jumps out, I take a blow to the head then a quick sock to the stomach, I may be dead I fell kicks I taste blood I smell the metal off of my attackers gun Im calm now with the barrel pointed to my head I quick jolt now Im dead I lay here in my puddle of blood waiting to wake up wake up I see light, just light whiter than ever before am I in heaven or going down stairs once more?...... That Name What’s in a name? Nothing probably, but this name is designed to bring with a great deal of shame So what is a “faggot”? I hear the word and I’m not sure if I can hack it So I stumble, drop the ball, it’s a fumble Last quator of the football game, ten seconds to go, take me back and put me on the bench now I can smell it in the crowd, The stench Burning eyes, going legally insane Like the sudden suprise... Of getting hit by a train What is gay? What is straight? Because who really knows what a guy thinks before he starts to collaborate Nothing in this world is sadder Than a young teen whose soul’s been shattered But it will, if you let it, so don’t Will eternal hatred go away? It won’t A word is only as powerful as you let it But it will It doesn’t matter your name, his name, date of birth or his special skill...
M_Force_4_ever Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 those were very good especially the first one. here is a poem of my very own: Mystic Journey Two people embrace They will soon be leaving earth’s surface They slip away into the darkness together They immerge as they arrive at there destination A place where peace runs freely The beauty of this place fills their veins with the majesty of love compelling their every action They stand mountain top as mist surrounds them and reiterates their confidence in love They have undertaken on a mystic journey to find truth, compassion and freedom What is it that has inspired this mystic journey? Have emotions taken over their souls subtly taking them deeper and deeper into a true life where perfection is easily attained? Or has evil disappeared from all they have ever known? What is it that they seek? Is it a serene ecstasy where everything good reigns? Or is it something much more, so deep we cannot even begin to conceive the wonderful purity of it? Does this place really exist or just within the realms of their minds collectively exchanging every experience ever known to them? For is this place something as simple as love which can incite pain and pleasure and bring fourth indescribable emotions? The mystic journey is over while at the same time just beginning.
