So why did you two decide to do these forums?

Hey R&E, I'm sure you two are busy up to your hair follicies, but why did you decide to start these forums? It just sounds like so much more work in your busy life.

There were a few reasons...I'll list some of the main ones and maybe Robb will add on if he has time! (Note to all of you out there...never go into the games business!!!)

 

- Everyone always asked us to do it!

 

- A place for us to rant (almost blog style without the annoying blog word)

 

- People wanting us to host their photos and videos

 

- Us having updates that weren't always 'update worthy', but that we'd still like to share in an easy way with everyone.

A place to host photos was actually the main reason.

 

After we did the video contest last year and hosted all those videos, I kept getting loads of requests for photo contests, but being that photos don't take up THAT much bandwidth, at least nowhere near as much as videos, it seemed to make more sense to have a place where people could post LOTS of photos.

 

Then during the Japan trip when we were posting photos everyday really inspired me. Because at that time I was actually using the kind of feature that everyone had been asking for.

 

I looked into several different ways of doing it, and it just seemed that using a forum with an attachement mod was the best way to go.

 

I never expected the forums to take off like they did.

 

Anyway, that's the story!
