gmoney422
Hey guys, here's my situation. I just bought a great camcorder (Sony HC-96)! Now I want to upload the vidoes I've shot from my camera to my PC. I have a firewire connection, so that's OK. I was using the Sony software that came with the camera, but the video capturing (ie uploading to the computer) only goes at the speed of the footage. Is that because of the software I'm using? Anyone know of a way to "high-speed upload" videos from my camera so I don't have to sit there all day and re-watch my videos as they're uploading? Also, what are the good and easy-to-use (I stress easy-to-use!) software packages for editing videos and adding music and graphics and such? Any advice would be much apreciated. Wes
That's just how DV works. It captures live, there's no way to speed it up. As for general video editing stuff, check out this pretty big thread: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22107
