Belated Mini Photo TR: Florida Trip 2006

Back at the end of May I got to go to Florida as drum major (in charge) of my high school marching band for the Magical Music Days event. We spent four days in Florida (three at Disney) and had a lot of fun.

 

Highlights of the trip:

~C3P0 is awesome

~Good tower

~I'm a jedi

~Big castle

~Leading a marching band down Main Street U.S.A.

I know I'm really late posting this, sue me. I've been busy doing the WCC photo updates and then having oral surgery.

 

Has anyone else done the Magical Music Days? It's a great event...

My school's music department (both vocal and instrumental) got to participate in the Magic Music Days program at the start of February. Our Jazz Ensemble performed in Cosmic Ray's Starlight cafe, our choirs (Concert, Treble, and Chamber) sang in the Galaxy Palace Theater Stage in Tomorrowland, and our Marching Band also performed (with Celine Dion in the audience- and marching right along with the band-!) It was definitely one of the coolest experiences I have ever had as part of a musical ensemble, and I completely agree that is an amazing program.
