canada Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Hi, I probably will be going to SFLR next week to ride goliath and monstre (MORGAN TRAINS!) what day would you reccomend for the least crouds?thanks. --Mike Go on a tuesday/wednesday. Make sure to check out 2 awesome flat rides Manitou and Vertigo. Also theres Vampire, a BTR Clone that is worth a ride. IMO Still the best ride in the park. If you wanna ride all the coasters in the least amount of time follow this plan. Get there at opening. From the entrance turn right and head straight to Monster. Ride Track 1 back row. As you get off head straight towards Goliath and ride it back row. I feel it is the best seat. Come back and ride the boomerang. Next to it is the corkscrew called Super Manege. Ride that in the back seat also. Ride Manintou which is between SM and Boomerang. Then go back to the entrance and head towards the vampire. Best seat is definately the front. Next to it is Vertigo. Ride it. Then go to the stand up coaster Cobra which is next to vampire. Ride that and you're done! Just felt like helping you out, if you have any more questions feel free to ask!
rcoasters Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 I'd suggest going next Tuesday (July 25th) rather than going next Wednesday (July 26th) because of the fireworks. If you don't arrive before these days, I'd say Thursday. Fridays are busy and weekends too. Fireworks days at La Ronde are really crowded (30 000+ people in the park, which is pretty big for La Ronde). I'll propose you a better way to get around the park : Be at the park at least 30 minutes before opening since they open the wickets at 9:30AM so you can buy your tickets and get in front of the grid at that time. Then, when they open up the grid, go directly to Goliath ! After that you can hit Monstre, Super Manège and Boomerang which are all next to each other. After you rode those, go ride Vampire and Cobra so you'll have all the credits needed ! Do you arrive at the park by car or by bus ? That would significantly make a difference. If you arrive by car, be sure to park in the parking at the back of the park so you'll be nearer to Goliath and it'll be easier to get around the park the way I proposed ! If you have any other questions, just ask !
PCW FREAK Posted July 19, 2006 Author Posted July 19, 2006 ^^ Thanks. Also is goliath worth all the hype it's getting? How is it?
rcoasters Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 I actually think that Goliath is pretty lame and it delivers floater air instead of ejector air. That's what killed it for me... I wanted ejector air

The reason I advised him to go to Monster first is they usually never run all 4 trains which takes a ridiculously long amount of time unlike Goliath who has two trains running every day although the dispatch times vary by staff.
PCW FREAK Posted July 19, 2006 Author Posted July 19, 2006 Most rides change with the weather hopefully i'll have a different experience. Also just one more thing there are 2 other credits that i'm concerned about with lines :Tobbogan Nordique(Wild Mouse) and that indoor one I think it's called Dragon where should I fit those in? Thanks. And i'll be arriving by car from Ottawa --Mike

Walk straight then go down and you'll see it. It usually used to have a lot of lines but with Goliath there it has much less then past years. Tobogan Nordique will have a crazy line. Also make sure you ride Goliath either in the front or back (preferably back). I'm telling you it makes a crazy difference!
