But you could have gone home without her the instant you found the bag was broken! You could have got back in the driver's seat, turned the car on, and took your dog back home where she would be safe. But no! You put yourself over your dog by leaving your dog in the hot car while you went to have fun without her! Apparently you weren't very hysterical at the prospect of spending a day in the park without her. Clearly your having fun meant more to you than your dog's future safety. Don't blame everyone else because you were an idiot about something that was allegedly important to you, especially not people who were simply trying to save your dog's life.

Morning traffic between Downtown L.A. and SFMM
PeoplemoverMatt replied to Skyscraper's topic in Ask Alvey
Yeah, Jimmy Deans has greasy awesome giant breakfasts. But if you're looking for GREASY...go to the Saugus Cafe! It's really local. Head down Magic Mountain Parkway until it ends, and make a right. Saugus Cafe will be right there on the right. It's about a 7 minute drive off the I-5. -
Not being a Club TPR member, I was simply curious. For me, it's not that I take issue with the ads. It's more of I've known your anti-ad stance for close to a decade now, and while I know you don't make changes like this suddenly, finding out about it sparked a couple curiosities. That's all. I do hope they help with the site costs as you would want them to.

When you consider that Deja Vu needs so much attention & so much work that it hasn't been running for nearly 40% of every year, and has had major problems basically ever since it opened including one or more completely lost years, no, another coaster would not basically do the same thing. Far from it in fact. It makes much more sense to have a seasonally operating coaster like Deja Vu in a seasonally operating park like SFNE instead of a park that's open year-round. It would be almost impossible to build another coaster that would even come close to requiring as much refurb attention as what Deja Vu's commanded basically since it opened.

Are Club TPR members seeing these ads?

Would one of these new things be a small banner ad on the top right?

For those who have implied criticism of SFMM for choosing to continue to be a year-round park given its current maintenance schedule, which is better? Option 1) A closed park with no rides open Option 2) An open park with all rides open except for one or two, and one or two others on 1-train operation due to rehab.

Top Amusement Park Eats!!!
PeoplemoverMatt replied to Sir Clinksalot's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Totally agree. When I was there, it came off to me like the food itself was a relatively low priority, with the real draw being, "Hey! You've made it inside Club 33!" It is really all about bragging rights, not so much else. -
When my family and I ate at Waterfront (across from Gold Rusher), we got the pizza family meal w/ season pass coupon & Discover card discount. There was certainly enough food for all 8 of us (4 adults, 4 kids) between the big pizza, big salad, cheesebread and drinks. It cost about $30. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Heard no complaints from the kids who loved being able to dig into the huge pizza. Everyone was happy & filled up nicely (pizza, salad, cheesebread, soda for everyone) for less than $4/person. Not too shabby a deal there, especially in a theme park.

SFMM to the Coast

Fun fact...if you exit the 126 at Wells Rd., take it south to CA 118, make a left on that & drive about 5-10mins, you will pass the actual orange groves featured in Soarin' Over California. -

You know what's funny? Heard the same complaints when parking went up from $3 to $4. Heard the same complaints again when parking went up from $4 to $5. Heard the same complaints again when parking went up from $5 to $6. Heard the same complaints again when parking went up to $10. Heard the same complaints again when parking went up to $15. And now, once again, the same complaints are being made regarding gouging, robbery, detrimental first impression, etc. What Elissa said earlier is absolutely 100% true. Think about how many other places charge the same, or more, to park. You want a place where you *might* park within 800 miles of the gate? Park at the Hollywood Bowl sometime. It's awesome. Oh, and FWIW, the handicapped spaces at SFMM are the closest spaces to the front gate of the entire main lot. -
Theme Park Review in JAPAN! 2011

OH GOD NOT SPIN BULLET! Back in '07 when I went to Tokyo, I whacked my head so hard on Spin Bullet that I made a sound I've never heard myself make before or since. A couple days later I had a massive earache that I could only cure by sleeping on a cold bottle of OJ. Also had a headache for the next week, and a sore throat for three weeks after the incident. Never had an official diagnosis, but if that ride didn't give me a concussion, it was the closest I've ever come to one! BURN IT WITH FIRE! -

Did anyone who's complaining about the parking fee, or that parking isn't included in the price of a Season Pass, know that SFMM at least was offering a Season Parking Pass FREE with purchase of 4 Season Passes? I believe that deal is no longer being offered, but the deal was being offered as late as Memorial Day. Just thought I'd throw that out there! AFAIK, Season Parking is $50, aka 4 vists to the lot. Not unreasonable at all compared to the costs of parking at other venues, hotels, public garages, etc. -

The Saugus sign is awesome. Seeing as I'm almost from Saugus, hopefully one day I can have my picture taken with that sign in Osaka, Japan.
