THIS ROUND OF FIND THE DUCKY IS NOW CLOSED!!!!!! ^ There definately would not be a Big Mike Road Show without TPR! Big Mike went on the first and original TPR trip in 2006, and had no desire whatsoever to take any pictures of coasters, parks, ect. Not until a few years later did I even have the idea to start the thread. Without TPR, no one in the coaster world would even have any idea of who Big Mike is. TPR has such vast widespread readership that even though I find a lot more guests reading than actually Big Mike Valuable Readers, TPR has been the sole reason that The Big Mike Road Show exists and is what it is today. I have been offered twice to put The Big Mike Road Show up on other sites, and once to start its own website, but if Big Mike is two things, it is loyal and appreciative! The Alvey's have been nothing but outstanding to Big Mike throughout the years, and having met so many Theme Park Reviewers during my travels, it is my pleasure and only desire to keep The Big Mike Road Show exclusively only on Theme Park Review forever!! As the first line read on the first post I ever made on Theme Park Review's Big Mike Road Show, "I am just here to add whatever I can to this wonderful website of Robb and Elissa's." Hello Valuable Big Mike Readers!!! We come to an end of the 4th straight week of daily Mon-Fri updates, meaning we have now put up 20 "New for 2012" Big Mike Road Show updates!! We are pretty proud here at Big Mike World Headquarters! All Friday updates are what we call a Big Mike Grab Bag, could be anything dealing with the subject of Big Mike! Today's new episode is a behind the scenes tour of setting up West Coast Bash!!! Lots of people stroll into Six Flags Magic Mountain all excited to pick up their registration packet and have a great day, but did you ever wonder how early Big Mike and the rest of the volunteer gang get there to make everything go smooth?? Don't get me wrong, The Mighty Big Man LOVES to help out Robb and Elissa any way he can, so after the work is done, it is a massive friends hangout for the rest of the day, so I added a few of the friends pictures along with this update. I just wish the schedule date for this year did not conflict with a previous Cancun trip Megan and I planned, or we would so be there yet once again! Hello my Valuable Big Mike Readers!! It's time once again to check out a place that Big Mike made a pit stop at while Traveling The World Riding Roller Coasters!!! Gator Park in the Everglades is near Miami, and if you were hitting up Boomers, or Uncle Bernies, or Miami Beach, or Elissa's Mom and Dad's , you could make a quick trip over here and enjoy a day on an airboat checking out gators! This event was on Big Mike's Top 50 Always Wanted To Do List, so I am glad that I finally got to experience it and have the chance to show everyone here too! Hope you enjoy! Peace, Big Mike Gator Park in the Everglades! The gators make you feel right at home! Here is the air boat you ride in and some of the guests. Nah! This is the actual air boat for the trip. The engine! Before you get to go on the boat, you can see a gator show also, which is included with the ride. Here is a baby gator. "Let me go and let me get him!" Next up was a bigger gator. Big Mike = Gator wrangler Close up together. They saved the biggest gator for last. When I see this, I always think of those idiots who put their hand in his mouth. The gator didn't get him this time, but one day soon he will get his revenge for.... ..... always being forced to have gator sex in front of everyone. The worst part for the gator is this kissing and spooning part afterwards. If this gator didn't have a family to support and really needed this 2nd job, I am sure he would not put up with this! Time to head on out on the water. There is no escape now. Interesting life vests I guess just in case the boat tips, probably will keep you alive just long enough for a gator to come up and eat you. Our first wildlife. Gator food? The boat picks up huge speed and you can see Big Mike's hair flowing in the wind. As is always the case, this lady is ooogling Big Mike, or is it his really cool orange ear plugs? It must be the famous Big Mike, since everyone else is snapping pictures of The Big Man too, right? Ah! It was not Big Mike after all, it's a gator!!!!! I don't know how they do it, but just as the 1st gator appears, a bird flies onto your boat and begins telling you all about gators. The birds tells us a story about how each gator will pick out one guest and try to snag them for dinner later. Big Mike teasing the gator. No fear from The Mighty Big Man! "Come on Big Mike, trying doing that again tough guy" It is quite clear now that the gator has selected Big Mike as his dinner, and probably with a little left over for breakfast too! After seeing lots of gators and escaping with his life, Big Mike is all smiles. We arrive back to land safely! Now all the Valuable Big Mike Readers know that Big Mike is not afraid of anything and can be proud of his courage. Gator Park! A fun time and a nice experience to try out if you are in the area! Hello Valuable Big Mike Readers!!!! Today's episode is one of the bigger and better places to visit while riding roller coasters! Big Mike was out in South Dakota heading to Boondocks to ride the coaster there when he made a slight detour to go check out one of the things on Big Mike's "Top 50 Always Wanted To Do List", MOUNT RUSHMORE!!!! After arriving during the evening hours to a jam packed crowd, Big Mike arranged with the Park Rangers for a special VIP tour of Mount Rushmore all on his own the next day!! Luckily, the Park Rangers were HUGE Big Mike Road Show Fans, so they were cool with the ERT (Exclusive Rushmore Time). The Park Rangers set up a behind the scenes tour, a meet and greet with an original driller, and an up close hike to the top, all with no general public allowed in until Big Mike was done! Hope you enjoy! Peace, Big Mike Mount Rushmore!!!!!! A very nice night view, glad we did a day and night visit! Mount Rushmore all lit up, but too many people for The Big Man's liking! A quick chat with the Park Rangers and......... ..... Big Mike is back the next day with a Super VIP Escort with no general public in sight! Another thing on Big Mike's Top 50 Always Wanted To Do List is taken care of!! This is Gutzon Burglum, sculpter of Mount Rushmore as well as Stone Mountain in Georgia! You can find out things like this during your VIP Guided Tour! Other things you find out if you are a VIP is that there is a flag for every state flying here! Big Mike can't believe he is allowed to get this solo shot! Big Mike is either signaling a touchdown or is squashing the four heads together! There is no way in the World to take a picture like this if the general public is around! Big Mike as a fifth head on Mount Rushmore???? George Washington! Thomas Jefferson! Theodore Roosevelt! Abraham Lincoln! The special VIP tour continued to the museum, where Big Mike was treated to seeing the scale model of Mount Rushmore! The finished product! Scroll back and forth between the picture above this one and this one, it is an identical match! Mount Rushmore is fun to see, but not as much fun being this far away! Ready for a Big Mike Only Allowed Hike to the Top??? During the hike, this is the only time you get to see stuff like this, trees growing right out of the rocks! Big Mike hikes up a little closer! Big Mike snaps a photo half way up while still full of energy! I guess this is why unexperienced hikers are not allowed up here! Big Mike better watch his footing here!! So far, so good! Oh baby, only a little way to go!!! Ahhhh, so close yet still so far! Big Mike just wanted to touch his face, but it was just too tall to climb the bottom wall! Pretty great view though, right???? As if that wasn't the coolest thing ever, Big Mike got a meet and greet with one of the ORIGINAL drillers of Mount Rushmore, Nick Clifford! What a great day at Mount Rushmore!!! Hello Valuable Big Mike Readers!! Time once again to show you something fun to do near an amusement park visit that the Big Man took! This episode of The Big Mike Road Show, episode #14 of 200 in 2012 if you are keeping count at home, comes to you from the city of brotherly love (no love at all if you are wearing a Ranger's shirt) Philadelphia! The Philadelphia Museum of Art is our stop, because this is where they filmed the Rocky movie, where Rocky ran up the steps during his workouts! This is just a short drive if you are visiting Dutch Wonderand to get those 2 coaster credits! The trip report is below, but if you want to check out The Mighty Big Man running the steps on video, we have made that possible!!!! I want to tell everyone in advance that Big Mike Productions apologizes for the shotty camera work (there was no way she was keeping up with Big Mike's top speed) and the constant giggling from the camera girl, understand she is still a rookie to this stuff! We hope you enjoy! Peace, Big Mike and Megan Big Mike and his wonderful girlfriend Megan decide to hit Philadelphia to take off one of the things on "Big Mike's Top 50 Always Wanted To Do List"! The Philadelphia Museum of Art, home of the Rocky steps! The Rocky statue is located to the right of the stairs if you are looking straight at them! Megan!! Big Mike seems much bigger than Rocky! Hello Valuable Big Mike Readers!!! Since it is Wednesday and The Big Mike Road Show brings you a small park on every Wednesday, we have a great one for you today! This coaster does not get very much coverage here on TPR, so here comes Big Mike to the rescue! This "park" is actually a farm, and as farm coasters go, this one has to be the best of the bunch! Schnepf Farms in Arizona was a magnificent stop on The Big Mike Road Show, and the Schnepf hospitality is second to none! The farm was closed for the season, yet using the Big Mike Charm, they opened up just for The Mighty Big Man..... and friends!!!! Never underestimate the power of The Big Man, and the special perks you get if you tag along during the World Tour! Check out all the fun we had and the special treatment the Schnepf family displayed! Hope you enjoy! Peace, Big Mike We arrive at the GPS destination thought to be Schnepf Farms, a 3 car caravan of Big Mike and 2 Valuable Big Mike Readers! Make no mistake about it, it is certainly a farm! Big Mike starts to wonder if he is in the right place, as there is no coaster in sight! As you can see, The Big Mike Road Show has arrived!! Now to see if we are in the right place! Woo Hoo!! We are! More proof that we have found Schnepf Farms! We are greeted by Carrie Schnepf and told that she is just waiting for her son to come home from school and operate the coaster for us, but we can come inside and relax! Jim (JimmyBo) relaxes! Jeff (picknyourseat) gets comfy too! We even get to play with the family dog!! Jim picks up a wedding magazine, who knew what he had in mind back then? Big Mike sitting like a King in the outside pavillion! We are off to see the family entertainment farm! Oh, did I forget to tell you that Carrie Schnepf was smoking hot??? Sorry! Slipped my mind! Bet you could only imagine Big Mike's face when we met! The Peach Tree Express! Now THAT is a farm coaster baby!! The train. The lift. Big Mike rides the back seat for starters! Check out all the places for some crazy air time moments!! Now this is something you don't see often as Carrie is cheering us on as we ride! It sure does pay off to be a Valuable Big Mike Reader I guess!! Funny, I don't remember that guy in the middle seat at all?? Was he even there when we rode or is he a ghost? lol Really?? We can ride again and switch seats! The Schnepf family rules! First drop! Back side bunny hops! Lots and lots of laps were to be had! I think Conner Schnepf was getting a kick out of how much fun we were having! Big Mike has done it again, riding a coaster that was closed and kindly opened up just for The Big Man! Coaster credit #887 (Requested that I share this) Unbelievably, Carrie lets us switch up seats yet once again!! We had to let Jim experience the back seat on this coaster, as you got ejected out of your seat on a few spots! I think Jim's expression says it all on this first drop! The back bunny hops packed a punch too, since it made this coaster veteran look like this! Big Mike got a really warm feeling inside knowing that his Big Mike Charm made these coaster buddies happy like this! All good things have to come to an end, but we must have got at least a dozen rides or probably more! One last look at the awesome coaster before we show you the rest of the farm and all there is to do here! Schnepf Farms motto: Enjoy our family farm... and it is real easy to do, as the place is pure awesomeness! Swingin Ladybugz! Flying Farmers! Great theming to the ride. Pumpkin Launch! Witch Mountain Giant Slide! The Honey Bee! This ride, as are many more, are powered by the sun and the wind! Maze! Everyone knows that Big Mike loves mazes, and you learn as you go in this maze! Petting Corral! As always, TPR reports can never have enough donkeys! Country Road Rally! Lil Farmers Play Yard! Play area train. Real train! Train cars. An area for shows too! Frisbee dogs, nice! Wow, a 1912 Parker Carousel!! Also sun powered. No one over 140 pounds though, and no getting it on with the pig the sign says. Big Mike!!!! No getting it on with the pigs!! Nice picnic area. The staple of all farm rides, the Hay ride! Schnepf Farms!!! This place was way better than some amusement parks!! My good buddy Jimmy Bo checks off Arizona on the Official Big Mike Road Show T-Shirt!! Jeff checks off New Mexico, since Big Mike will be going there next and won't meet anyone! Hello my great friends!!!!! It's Tuesday, time for another fun thing to do while out on the road riding roller coasters, courtesy of The Mighty Big Man! This place was not exactly in between amusement parks, but in Big Mike's eyes, it was close enough to go visit! Big Mike was coming from Funtastics in Arizona and on his way to Oasis Lanes in Texas, and this stop was on Big Mike's Top 50 Always Wanted To Do List!!! There is even some car dealership feuding on who can have the bigger alien! UFO themed billboards are a common site too! I thought Big Mike had the most wanted wiener? Fast food places battle it out too for business with their own UFO ideas. Nobody beats the king of fast food with their UFO shaped dining room. Big Mike made it through town and found a special parking spot! It was a long trip, so Big Mike needed an alien approved Coke! Big Mike finds what he visited for, the UFO Museum and Research Center! The museum is open 7 days a week from 9-5. Big Mike is welcomed right away! The museum is full of evidence of UFO sightings and landings! Crop circles are giveaways that a UFO was recently here. The main draw to the museum is the aliens that have been caught and are now being looked at in the research center! They even have real life aliens saved in protective fluids!! When you are done inside the museum, you can take your entry sticker and play Cover up the aliens! The neat thing you notice about Roswell as you walk the town is that the street lamps are shaped like aliens! Almost every store on the main strip is decorated with aliens. Alien store after alien store. Even if you are getting married, there is an alien wedding store for you! Alien T-shirt shops are big business! Aliens are the other gray meat ya know! The monumental occasion occured overseas and since The Big Mike Road Show was on hiatus, not much fanfare was made about the event until today! Big Mike thought that since all The Valuable Big Mike Readers have been with The Big Man every step of the way, supporting, cheering, and rooting him on, Big Mike Productions had to get a video and some pictures of the glorious moment and share it with all of the Theme Park Reviewers so that they can post and express their happiness of Big Mike hitting the major milestone! There is the date and the man of the hour, June 17th, 2011, Big Mike makes history! TV crews in Japan were all converging on Fuji Q for the monumental event and a chance to see Big Mike in person! Big Mike's 1000th coaster - Rock N Roll Duncan! This was the shot that was splashed all across the newspapers in Japan the next day! The Big Mike Road Show has been on the road for a loooooong time waiting for this moment of riding coaster #1000! The day is finally here!! Big Mike shows his love for Duncan, as we will be linked in roller coaster history together! Big Mike joins the elite club of top coaster riders in the World! The guys that rode the milestone ride with Big Mike display the number 1000 behind The Mighty Big Man!!! Hello Valuable Big Mike Readers!!! Welcome to another Thursday episode of The Big Mike Road Show! The theme with all Thursdays is that Big Mike shows you something fun and exciting to do while you are near certain amusement parks! Today's episode comes to you from Big Mike's back yard and old hang out, Seaside Heights New Jersey! While back in high school, Big Mike worked the boardwalk on Seaside Heights for many a year, snagging hottie after hottie back in his prime! Those were the days for sure, as MTV had a Summer Beach House show with Carson Daly there just like they have the Jersey Shore house now. Bon Jovi was making album covers right on the street Big Mike worked on, and did I mention the multitude of super hot babes that all wanted the slim and sexy and spiked haired Mighty Big Man??? Well if you are visiting Seaside Heights to hit Casino Pier and Fun Town Pier and ride the many coaster credits, why not go over to MTV's Jersey Shore house!! The shore house is right in the middle of both piers and maybe you can catch Big Mike's best buddy Pauly D hanging out! Yep, Big Mike and Pauly D go way back, kind of like two peas in a pod. Pauly is always calling Big Mike for advice on the ladies! I hope you enjoy the report, and I threw in a bonus video just so you can hear The Mighty Big Man! Peace, Big Mike Big Mike is back in his old neighborhood, Seaside Heights New Jersey, home of many coasters and Jersey Girls! Big Mike used to work right there at Lucky Leos in those exact stands! One was a wheel and one was a balloon dart game. I know everyone out there is saying Big Mike didn't work at Seaside, Big Mike didn't get all the hotties, Big Mike doesn't know Pauly D! Well Big Mike always has proof to show you how cool he really is!! Look at that sexy guy, spiked hair, all tanned, and sporting the "Babe Magnet" shirt in the top picture!! Here is the Jersey Shore House from season 1, and yours truly The Big Man! Darn policies kept me from taking pictures inside! Of course, Big Mike has to show some Jersey attitude too! Fast forward to this year, and the Jersey shore house has changed a bit, but it is still the center of attention! Check out all the cameras too. There is Big Mike's bro, Pauly D! Big Mike is not allowed on set while filming is in process. I know everyone is going to be asking for a Snooki shot, so there it is! Here is a snap shot from Big Mike for this upcoming season going on right now! Watch for Deena leaving with a suitcase and a green stuffed toy and you will know Big Mike brought it to The Valuable Big Mike Readers first!! What most people don't see unless you read The Big Mike Road Show for behind the scenes access, is the huge crowd watching every day...... .... the production team set up right next door going in and out of the house all day...... ....... and the huge security force keeping the peace. Since it is so crowded in the front, Big Mike will show you the back of the house and the Shore Store where they work occasionally. The Outside patio of the Jersey shore house with the hot tub is actually right on top of the Shore Store! Here is the boss of the Shore Store, but no cool people are working today. This guy is actually a big jerkoff. Big Mike will let you in on a little secret if you ever decide to visit, the Sky Ride actually gives you a great view of the action! Big Mike and his step son John visiting from Michigan decide to check it out together! Not only does the Sky Ride give you great views of the amusement piers.... ..... it gives you a great view of the patio of the Jersey Shore house also as you ride right on by. Big Mike says hello to his old buddy Frankie who he worked with way back in the day, still on the boards and with the same balloon dart game. Frankie says he will be on an episode as Snooki played there and won (actually lost and bought) a motor scooter. Look for that this year too! Big Mike calls it a day and heads on over to Karma to partake in some hot babes, but it is no fun without his buddy Pauly D, so Big Mike gives him a call! Yeah, Big Mike did not get any face time on the show, but at least he got a shout out and recognized for being cool with Pauly D!
