  1. Apparently they’ve also lined part of the queue with a pondliner. And they have painted some of the supports to look weathered so it should be a really cool theme. Hopefully that doesn’t delay an opening?
  2. Any hope for Sirens Curse to actually make coastermania or atleast June 15? I have seen some people say of course and some say it’s very unlikely. Of course we as the public don’t know how much work is left. But it’s stressing me. What do you all think?
  3. It is Thank you. I hope Sirens Curse is open by June 15th. I’m glad they seem optimistic about TT2
  4. Thank you Prozac. I think my plan is do both. Atleast in this moment 4 days sounds like appealing insurance if a ride goes down or bad weather. Also the more I look the more interested in the waterpark I become. I will think about it but hopefully I can do fast lane a few days as well. currently arriving Sunday and leaving Friday the 20th of June
  5. That's true! We have decided since this is a really a trip I have been waiting for all my life we broke down and splurged on a nicer room. So we will be arriving Sunday afternoon and then leaving Friday! So the only thing that can bring me down is if the rides are down. Tony said he expects sirens curse to be apart of cosstermania and that's June 6th. I know the word "expects" isn't definitive but I'm hoping for. Super excited. The only thing that can bring me down is the rides being down
  6. You’re fine dude! Just wanted to clarify. I appreciate the help im getting
  7. So are you saying in your experience week days are actually MORE busy than Sunday? That’s wild. I was hoping Mon-Wed would be fairly good
  8. Thanks! I think some of my trepidation comes from there being two new rides if we count TT2(god willing it works). I’m also on the spectrum and like taking things kind of slow as I can be overwhelmed. But at the same time I really want to feel like I can ride as much as I want as I’m quite sure I’ll love the rides. I think I see a fast lane plus in my future regardless of how many days I stay. What is your personal anecdotal experience with Sunday crowds? I’m not trying to be a bother just wondering how it compares to weekdays or if it’s more of a Saturday experience. As a disclaimer I know you absolutely can’t guarantee me anything
  9. Sorry to revive a dead thread but I am currently arriving at the breakers June 15th and leaving on the 19th(a Thursday). So basically three and a half days at the park. I'm thinking about maybe getting an extra day and arriving Saturday. With the hopes that June 15th(Sunday) will be a slow day to kinda chill and ride some stuff without rushing around. One of my buddies said 3 and half days is more than enough but I wanna absolutely feast on the rides. Just two or three rides on one coaster isn’t nearly enough for me. And then you’ve got Sirens curse and TT2 which are going to draw heavy wait times. A couple of really good flat rides too Also I’m on the spectrum so sometimes I need a bit of downtime. I would go arrive on June 15-20 but sadly that specific room is booked up Going backwards to a Sunday is the only option for now. What do you guys think?
  10. “So how many inversions do you want”- Premier Rides “Yes” - Canada’s Wonderland. Looks wonderful. I just kept waiting for the inversions to end and it felt like they never did!
  11. I think you misunderstood me, or I misunderstand you lol. I feel I have pulled the trigger because I have my tickets extended through 2025. I feel a lot better about just giving up on going this year and giving them time to work on TT2. I’m thinking first week of June that has 9-10pm as the hours. Unfortunately breakers wouldn’t let me schedule that far. Buch gardens is kind of a separate thing. I’m kinda waiting to see about the Hurricane and Kumba is having its maintenance from the 12th to 25th. I love how open they are about that on their website! Super helpful just like you guys! Ride on
  12. Tell me how it goes! What’s your top three rides in the park? I was able to get my plane tickets extended so hallelujah! I will be using the advice I got here for my 2025 trip for sure. I may still go to BGT this year as I’m kind of pumped to go somewhere. But I’m not sure if I will or not. I’ll make a separate thread if i do. Thanks for everything guys
  13. No. I have plane tickets that will expire by May 2025. I don’t know if I can get them extended. I was answering the guy who asked if I had made a decision and then I got lots of good feedback when I explained I may go somewhere else this summer
  14. Thanks. I will definitely think about that. Do you know anything about best times to go to BGT? Like August vs September? Weekday vs weekend at those months. The reason I’m leaning towards that park is I really want to experience Gwazi and Montu. If I could find someway to work island of adventure in there I’d be very happy. I think that I could actually make the drive to BGW pretty easy so I don’t wanna use plane tickets(already purchased) on that lol I actually don’t know anything about Knoebels. I’ll definitely look that up
  15. I don’t know if I’m going now. I might go to a different park this year if TT2 stays down. I am scheduled for middle August at the moment I know it sounds a little harsh not to go over one ride being down but I have literally put off going because of the original top thrill being down. So it’s a big deal for me. I’m thinking of Busch Gardens Tampa
  16. Oh wow what are some other rides that may not open? Like flat rides? I definitely wanna ride max air and every coaster that isn’t literally for small kids. Also will less staff affect rides that are open with slower ops potentially? Personally I’m not too bothered about food being closed. But if the lines are practically the same with FL I would choose middle for sure. I know you can’t say for sure but I’m wondering just how big the difference is. Like are we potentially talking about Maverick having a 20 minute regular line vs a 90 minute line kinda thing. Thanks coasterbill also those darn crowd counters and calendars keep showing it’ll be packed in mid August or at the least very. busy. But I don’t know how much stock to put into that. Thanks for your patience having ocd and second thoughts isn’t fun lol
  17. Dang I feel all special that someone cares about my Cedar Point thoughts lol. But seriously thank you. You guys have all been so nice to me im still having trouble deciding middle august (night rides) vs last week of August in terms of crowd levels. If fast pass evens it out I’d prefer to go earlier. But If rides are literally a walk on late in August because the kiddos are in school…. Tough choice. Any personal experience?
  18. Thanks for the support everyone! Unfortunately as I’m sure you’re aware Top Thrill 2 has remained closed so far. It’s actually pretty important for me in terms of what I’m wanting to experience. So I’ll probably reschedule to august to have a better shot at riding it. Looking at August 12 to 16 or 14-16 as that’s the last week it’s open till 10. But folks have told me waiting until even later in August can yield some incredibly low crowds. Anyone have any August CP experience? Thanks
  19. I have got my rooms locked in!!!!! After doing some soul searching I just could not disagree with your logic of buying FL every day and going longer hours. It’s simply not worth it to risk maybe having a disappointment over a few more dollars or a few more hours(I got to thinking about how 10pm will let me rest around 5-6pm and provide less hurry like you say). I will arrive June 16 and have the next 3 full days after that. So three and a half days. Personally I’m not a great photographer so if I do a report it will be fairly light. Thanks so much for all your patience Crossing my fingers on Top thrill 2. Thanks everyone.
  20. Thanks for another kind reply I appreciate both of your responses. I will look at Ohio weather over the next few days and see as I haven’t paid attention. Only heard second hand. Unfortunately middle of the week June 17-20 appears to be completely booked up besides the crazy expensive suite. I’ve thought about going the week after but then that’s probably more crowds and hotter. I will also think about going the dates Prozac suggested as that may fit the bill. If I knew crowds would be almost identical I’d definitely do the dates you guys are suggesting. You seem to be a local how different would first week be most likely? Health also may get in the way so I really appreciate you understanding that. I really wish I could wave my magic wand and make Cedar point stay open until 10 that first week. Also apologies if I’m kind of asking the same things twice or wanting more details. I’m just that kind of OCD person that loves every little detail. I don’t mean to be daft Thank you.
  21. That is an extremely compelling argument. And I do agree about FL. It would be nice not to pay but like you said I may not be back for quite some time. In fact that’s quite likely. Can I ask why you say Sun-Tuesday instead of the middle of the week? Also I take it you mean I should arrive at the park Saturday 6/15 and then enjoy those three full days. I guess for me it’s going to come down to heat and crowds. Just how much worse would the crowd & heat be on those dates vs the beginning? I know fast lane is awesome but I have seen people say that in the busy times FL can still be a decently long wait. I know you’re not a magic genie that can predict the future perfectly obvi(thinking out loud). And I’m guessing Top Thrill 2 isn’t going to help matters lol. I think I’d rather go earlier and balance out the crowds but I’m definitely taking your opinion into account. I also have some very recent health crap that could actually push me to go those days you recommend anyway. I’m hoping to ride my heart out. Thanks for the response!
  22. Hey there all! Apologize if this is posted in the wrong area of the forum but I saw another thread asking for trip advice and wanted to shoot my shot to the experts. Looks like health permitting I will finally be going to cedar point this summer! Yay! And to top it off I will get 3 full days at the park and a stay at the breakers(which I’m told is an awesome and very convenient experience). There is one factor I just can’t decide on and that’s what week I should go. Person I’m going with says first week of June would be good because the crowds will be lower. But there’s a caveat. The park closes at 8 that week and it isn’t until later in the month that it stays open until 11pm. I have also been told Ride Ops will be slower/worse the earlier you go. A local told me you run the risk of more stuff having downtime. The cons of going later in June(18-20)will certainly mean it is more crowded but by how much? Like would the crowds offset the increased hours because that means longer lines? Another local told me it would be way hotter and to definitely go early JUNE to skip the heat and people. I don’t do well in heat. So that’s two different opinions from locals haha! It also doesn’t help that I’m very indecisive because of my OCD and this is a dream trip for me. I want to “get it right” so to speak. A few things to note I know fast lane will be expensive but I have prepared to buy it either dates so that is a non issue. Unless the park was a ghost town I have read enough good things about FL here and other places. I am the kind of person who wants to ride every coaster in the park and ride multiple times based on how much I like the ride. If I wanna ride Maverick 20 times I will do it lol. And night rides might be really neat. But if early June is really less crowded and much cooler I think I would probably prefer that. As long as the ops aren’t bad (I know nobody can guarantee me anything here). But those elusive night rides sound fun! Anyway I would really appreciate any thoughts you all can add to this discussion. Carowinds is my home park but I’ve never ventured out further because of health issues. I’m really hoping this will work out.
  23. Nice video! Still can’t get over how great that color scheme looks on that ride(atleast in my personal opinion). If it rains hard enough on a ride they might as well give me a bar of soap to take up there with me. Two birds one stone. Definitely a good excuse for me to visit Japan one day. Have a great weekend everyone
