Most of Mauer's coasters are smaller though. That might have something to do with it (I honestly don't know though). EDIT: What ^ said. I'm not going to act like I work for Universal or anything, but I do have access to an incredibly reliable source. Unfortunately I don't want to say too much on here or I could get in trouble with him. I also don't want everyone to continue to build their hopes up, only to be disappointed again when the coaster remains closed.

What? I'm not disagreeing with you, ryno. Obviously the coaster isn't open. That's the only proven fact out there. I'm talking to King_K. All he does is paraphrase posts from other sites and comes here acting like what he's read was fact. Like talking about no current major issues and everything being fixed. That's all pure speculation. The dispatch timing being of was also pure speculation from the same person who said the floors on the trains were cracked. Oh okay, I'm sorry then. I thought you were addressing both of us. The truth as far as I have heard it is that the dispatch thing never really was an issue, but the train fractures are very much real.

Not correct. There are other issues that are even more serious. The issue has never been the r1ngs, or the banner. Yes the lift hill was an issue, but there are new issues that arose a couple Sundays ago. Even though they are testing, it isn't necessarily a good thing. I understand if you want to doubt me, but a month from now when the coaster still isn't open, you'll probably see that I was right.

There are plans to do this, but not at first. For opening they want people to actually pay the park admission to ride it. In a few years, they will charge for single rides for City Walk guests after the park has closed. For everyone else, I would not get too excited about this thing opening any time soon. There are some serious issues to work out.

They've dueled pretty much every time I've been on them, except the two times my brother has visited from out of state. Both times they simply dispatched each side whenever they wanted to, and the chains didn't adjust themselves, leaving us feeling ripped off (which unfortunately is becoming much more common with Universal).

Universal Studios Singapore Discussion Thread

The river rapids looks awesome. I was never a fan of Jurassic Park at IOA, but I think that Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges is the best river rapids ride in the world. Combining the two seems like a great idea. -
Universal Cinesphere at USF

I don't know if it's changed much, but I saw part of the show for the first time the other night. It was so bad we left after about five minutes. I've never done that in my life, not even for Cedar Point's horrible show. -
The 30 new attractions is ridiculously misleading. There will only be five real new attractions- Big Grizzly Mountain, Mystic Manor, the RC Racer Halfpipe, a Slinky Dog attraction, and the Green Army Men Parachute tower. I'm guessing the other "attractions" will be photo opportunities/playgrounds. HKDL already counts these photo ops and playgrounds such as the leaky tikis and the UFO playground as attractions. They even count City Hall as an attraction on the park map.

Disneyland in Paris - Worth It?
ryno1986 replied to rockbook2000's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It depends on how big of a Disney fan you are. Personally, I find it to be the most beautiful Disneyland style park in the world. That alone makes it worth it to me. If you enjoy the details and architecture of the American parks, then Disneyland Paris will simply blow you away. As far as attractions go, their Big Thunder and Pirates of the Caribbean attractions are superb. Space Mountain is a vekoma coaster with inversions and a launch. I really liked it, but that was before they redid the ride in 2005. Phantom Manor is their version of Haunted Mansion, but I didn't really care for it as much. Fantasyland is definitely better than Florida's, and their Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast is better than our Space Ranger Spin. -
Most Intense B&M!
ryno1986 replied to Beate's Freak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd say Manta's pretzel loop is the most intense thing I've ever experienced, but since I've heard Tatsu's is worse, I'll have to go with Tatsu being the most intense B&M. -

Good report so far. Brer Rabbit escapes by saying to Brer Fox, "You go right ahead and roast/skin/hang me, but please don't fling me in that briar patch!" By using reverse psychology, Brer Rabbit convinces Brer Fox/ Brer Bear to throw him into the briar patch, which is his home, just as we are also falling into the briar patch. This is actually based off part of Song of the South. Hope that helps!
