  1. X2 has the 3rd and 4th rails that control precisely how the seats are positioned at any given moment. The Free Fly design uses magnets placed at strategic locations along the track to influence the direction of the spin. You may flip, you may not, but they're there to give you a push in the right direction.
  2. ^ It'll be better in the sense that I'll be actually excited to the ride it when I see it from the parking lot.
  3. The ride represents his emotional turmoil. HOLY SHIIIIIII THE FIRST METAPHORCOASTER
  4. I thought some people were talking about a dual loading station like Kingda Ka or Manta? So four stations? Two for each side?
  5. I wish they would do this. I'm going to hate having to wait for both sides.
  6. Hopefully they can figure out how to operate the dual loading stations so both sides can run at the same time.
  7. I'm just mad I will have to wait twice to ride both sides.
  8. Also props to SFMM and RMC for starting the construction work in 2014 and not 3 weeks before opening.
  9. http://touch.latimes.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-81201830/ This got me a little "concerned" on the capacity of this ride -- that 110-second dispatch seems very slow, and would put the capacity at 700 PPH. That can't be right, can it? 110 second dispatches are aspirational at SFMM.
  10. I'll echo what everyone else is saying. This looks absolutely fantastic and I'm legit excited about this ride. I have about .05% faith the trains will be synced after media day. Did anyone notice how fast the train shoots up the second lift in the animatic? Haha.
  11. The dive under the entry plaza definitely looks like the highlight.
  12. I hope this is fake only because whoever designed that should be shot out of a cannon.
  13. B&M needs to hire a new cookie cutter.
  14. I thought the reason the parade was cancelled was because of Avatar construction. I'm not sure though. Yep
  15. I do really hope the conversion is worthwhile. It's been a long time since I've been interested in anything the park has had to offer but RMC seems to do consistently great things so I doubt it'll be disappointing. I have no expectations as to how they'll actually convert the ride, but considering Colossus has been mediocre at best for 20 or so years, almost any upgrade would be worth it.
