  1. weeow, check out the video from ride-extravaganza.com The Chance Turbo ride is the BEST! Hands down in my opinion. It may look a little slow on that video, but it really tricks you. Halfway through the ride, it suddenly goes into TURBO speed..this is when the cages get fliped over in all directions. The forces are much like a Zipper, but so much more evil and twisted. The cages pivot from the back panel, and it is very strange when you get thrown over - sideways! You just don't know where you are heading most of the time. One minute on your side, next face down toward the ground, next up high upsidedown looking to the sky. It's so unique and fun. I live in Australia, and at one stage we had 2 Turbos operating I believe (quite some years ago). At present, we have one I know of in refurb... hopefully it won't be too long until it get's back to our shows. It's a real beast of a ride. If anyone ever ever see's this ride anywhere, a fair, carnival, whatever, just do yourself a favor and go ride it. You won't regret it. Actually, you will probably go back for a 2nd or 3rd ride, it is that good.
  2. Yeah, it is close but not close enough. Ugly Kid Joe did one better. A song called Madman, and it rocks!!! ********note...the lyrics may be a little offensive to some.********** However, I find it quite amusing (it's only a joke song) like all their songs. Do you all remember Ugly Kid Joe? You know, that band with the song '(I hate) Everything about you'. Madman Verse 1 Disneyland is the place to be, c'mon baby, just you and me; Hand in Hand, to Disneyland, we go! Not Slow; Happiest place, in the world 'til the madman grabs a girl; Hand in Hand, with the madman, she goes! Oh oh! Chorus Knife gleamin' no feelin's, axe wieldin', child stealin', Madman is loose.... in Disneyland (in Disneyland) Verse 2 Come here little girl if you wanna see, Peter Pan's magic flight on L.S.D. Up and down, all around, we go! Whoa oh! Repeat Chorus Bridge Madman is loose in Disneyland; He's back here by popular demand; Madman is loose in Disneyland; He'll take no *hit but he'll take your head! Slow Riff (Verse 3) Surprise, Surprise, I'm comin' at ya' live; I sure as hell ain't Mickey Mouse, I'm a killer in disguise You can run and you can hide; But you ain't gettin' away 'cause I got you in my sight; Axe Wieldn', child Stealin'; I'm a mad *muthatruckin' man and I'm loose!... in Disneyland! Happy Part (Verse 4) Have you heard the news, madman sure is loose, Got you by the noose, have his way with you; Nothin' you can do, headline in the news, madman sure is loose in Disneyland. Disneyland is the place to be, in California, by the sea; Sunny day, were A.O.K., for now, and how; *I had to change these lines for the sake of the boards. Artist : Ugly Kid Joe Song : Madman From : As Ugly As They Wanna Be. and it also appeared on Americas Least Wanted (Madman '92 remix).
  3. I love flat rides Chance ZIPPER and Chance TURBO!!! My first real scary flat ride I ever rode was a Chance Zipper. I still love that ride. Every time I ride it I hang on so tight and fear for my life. Now that is what makes a ride perfect. Most of my first rides for me as a kid were at Carnivals where there were Chance rides. Heck, I even remember back my very first Trabant ride, now that was fun at the time!!(I hadn't been on many other rides before) LOL. I haven't been on a Wipeout yet though. Chaos is ok, but doesn't come close to the Zipper for thills at all. Huss manufacture some great looking rides, built so much better than Chance do. Huss also make giant rides, but bigger is not always better in some cases I have found. I am still looking for a new ride as exciting as the Zipper was and still is. Safelty seems to be the number one focus today, so I fail to see how anything like the Zipper will ever be introduced again. Time will tell. I must mention a ride which is as good as the Zipper is the CHANCE TURBO!!!!! This thing is crazy...It looks quite tame at first, but when riding you have no sense of direction at all, and you get thrown face down into the ground, thrown up into the sky, twisted over over and thrown about in every direction. It is a mad ride from start to finish, and I would love to ride it again someday. Unfortunately, it is not seen travelling much in my area anymore... Look it up if you don't know what ride I mean. The G forces are amazing too.. One of the best rides ever in my opinion. I go for rides which pack a punch like the Zipper and Turbp. Therefore, Huss lost my vote just because of these two classics. Breakdance packs a punch I must admit, but I still was not breathless like after a Turbo or Zipper ride. Having said that, I have only been on a handful of Huss rides (off the top of my head, Enterprise, Breakdance, Rainbow...) all these were not very thrilling for me. I just got bored riding the Enterprise last time, it's really tame when you think about it. There is no need to hold on to for dear life and combine that with a full sense a safety and you just end up cancelling out any thrills. I just sat back in my car, relaxed and imagined I was flying. It is fun but not thrilling ride. Same with the Huss Rainbow. It's fun, it's high and very smooth, but not that thrilling.
  4. Hi, I am new! I love the site by the way. Very cool Anyway, my problem is this. I have been able to run Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 on my computer with no problems since it was released and the demo as well, until now. I looked through the system requirments in the owners manual and on the box, which I exceed. As I said, I have never had a problem with the game until now. I can still run the demo ok, but that is not good enough. I used to be able to play the full game and never had a problem with it before? . What happens is it does the whole "Frontier", "ATI", and "Atari" logos, then has the Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 writing, after that when it trys to boot up the game, the screen goes black, and then takes me back to my desktop, saying "RCT3.EXE encountered a problem and had to close, we are sorry for any inconvenience". here is a copy of "dxdiag" ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 4/2/2005, 22:53:19 Machine name: YOUR-PHTW5CYNHC Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: TOSHIBA System Model: Satellite A70 BIOS: PhoenixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.1 Processor: Mobile IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® 4 CPU 3.20GHz (2 CPUs) Memory: 446MB RAM Page File: 197MB used, 879MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.2180 32bit Unicode ------------ DxDiag Notes ------------ DirectX Files Tab: No problems found. I added the full file above as an attachment. DxDiag.txt dxdiag txt file
